They already got some official statements from Epic Games saying its OK! Imagine a new Unreal, made by people who "really understand" what Unreal is about and what it needs (not even the developers at Epic knew that), and made in the nr. 1 engine until present day: Unreal Engine 4. Keep a close eye on this everyone.

Sounds interesting enough. They should probably update the first post with a project page (even if just a github) or at least some form of transparancy into the project so that people don't get a first impression that nothing is going on with it atm.
