My private messages are all gone! The pop up alert appeared on my screen notifying me that i had a new private message , then when i clicked to view it, it took me to my inbox and nothing showed up, not the new message or any of my old messages...
has this happened 2 anyone and how can i get my messages back?

lol feh you never even had a chance! and never will..... but hey maybe syz will be interested in u? :O lol... but yeah.. same thing happened to me aswell... at first i thought it was just me but them daaaaaaaaBOMB told me same thing happened to her and jp's accpount was deleted to i aint the only one lol. but yeah its weird... ahh well.. but at least i dont have to read daabombs constant love messages anymore.. i mean one is enough but filling it all the way to the full????? jeeza enough is enough xD jokes ------------- |

all my messages are gone too. no biggie though really, they were all old ones and I backed up all the "pictures" on my laptop anyway :p

Only 2 ways private messages are deleted in bulk: 1)Manually deleted from the Database directly by the owner using third party software 2)Manually deleted via the Admin interface by clicking and confirming "Batch Delete Private Messages". Passwords: Passwords are stored using 64Bit encryption. Not even the owner of the website can retrieve them for you. PMs: Private messages are stored separately from the website. While these can be accessed by the owner of the website/database, this must be accessed or monitored via third party software. No Administrator or Moderator has access to read your individual private messages. No Administrator or Moderator is able to sign in as you to access your account. Let me just add... this forum software was written well before "SQL Injection" type attacks became popular. however, unless the pages make the calls to the DB, it is unlikely this is what happened. Best bet is that someone set a bot loose. The best way to verify is to have the host review the SQL logs, which will identify the event and user IP address instantly. Everyone who have some basics in informatic know how to hack via SQL. It's pretty easy to find if it possible with some "code" and "request" The lamers (because it's a ****ty hack ^^) can control any accounts (admin and noobys). -------------  |
