Socom 4 is coming out in April, and I was wondering if any of you guys that play UT3 would enjoy a change of pace. I'm looking to have a dominant clan ready for action when the betta drops. No easy kills in this game, so only the best of the best stay on long enough to get good. If anyone is interested in probably one of ps3's most competitive online franchises, let me know soon. ------------- "Don't cross a Blackcat." |

I'd play Socom, but the series really fell off in my opinion since Socom 2. I hate all the others except Part 1 & 2. Maybe it got better but i highly doubt it. ------------- PSN:Imaginative |

I agree COD blows. But comparing COD to Socom is like comparing Ford to Ferrari. Socom requires a more mature set of skills to play. Most matches are in the no respawn form, meaning you have one life for 6 minutes and you can't just run out guns a blazin cause you will get naded, or shot. Socom is more about patience, strategy, and effective movement. I think it would be a great game to add to this site to help out with the nearly 2 years we have before any chance of a new UT. ------------- "Don't cross a Blackcat." |

Its hard to believe that a ut3 lover would enjoy a socom game tho, its to slow and boring. You got to spend time on every move u make. I played S2 years ago. I like it myself, but i had to be bored off my ass to play it and willing to kill some time. But you cant go off comparing COD and Socom together when really its a issue of what you like in a game. Slower pace strategic people who like realism would say Socom. SOCOM 2 is the best 3rd person online shooter I have ever played...It never got boring to me. Honestly, I bet if they made an HD version for the PSN. COD on PS3 wouldnt have as many players. Ive probably played that game for about 5-6 years straight without playing nothing else..lmao. I remember gamebattles.com was originally called socombattles.com because Socom 2 was that popular. I think the beta for Socom 4 comes with some copies of Killzone 3. I guess we'll find out how good it is then. But yeah SOCOM 2 ALL THE WAY!!!!!! The psp Socoms...not so much. ------------- EDF! EDF! EDF! |

hmm... people on ut3 have probably been playing for like ages, and it's kinda like a big family on there, dunno if everyone would change to play that socom game, kinda unlikely :L -------------

Totally off topic, but the hardest part I've ever encountered in a game was destroying the hind in the 1st Socom for PS2. F*ck that damn hind, took me days of trying...
