The impact hammer- quite simply an amazing must for any ut3 player.
 
it all began when i first got good at ut3 - back in DM many years ago- at which point i realised that godlike could be obtained if u commited suicide a few times then got flawless kills for the entire DM and the final kill would always be the Hammer. [remember how easy it was to kill people in 07 lmao.]
 
 DM players became more experienced and sometime the final kill was all taht stood between 2nd and first place. players learnt maps and used pickups regularly,  thus for me the hammer then became a weapon of value - to steal pickups - which is still something i rarely see online -
 
Then came Warfare and the ridiculous hammer glitches with vehicles people saying
"hey have u seen this"- shortly becoming a mundane experience.Little did i know there was mad changes happening in a version called 'vctf'
 
Finally after being overwhelmed with UT3 when i first saw/ performed the Impact Hammer Jump (IHJ) on the 2 vctf-SS maps all those years ago i always wanted my own IHJ...
 
At first it was me and RapidFire-  doing flag runs for CbS taht made me loveb the Hammer, me and him would practice all day together trying to make new stuff but we never truly developed any innovative Jumps ...
 
Then there was Necropolis - which was (for me) the first ps3 IHJ i decided to incorporate from pc - having never seen or heard about it on ps3 i was pretty chuffed....
 
Then there was Dagon's IHJ - the same idea as mine, developed within 24hrs of each other - only we had never discussed this - that was really weird and he was doing it on a different map- amazing!! - and it truly showed how the hammer jump was becoming skilled and competitive.
These moments for me have been *Hammer History*
 
 i assure you no new hammer jumps have been seen on pc for a long time - after so long with no new Hammer Time (i.e. time devoted to the hammer tricks),
i am please to be able to add to this Hammer- timeline,
 
This newest Imapct Hammer jump for VCTF Insomniac flag runs was developed/ performed during an Online match with Betoneer and Skee to simplify what some people feel is a "confusing" map, thus despite its size and variety - a flag run can now be made in approx 12 secs max.
 
We hope it helps and are currently discussing a IHJ only map. With normal weapons aswel obv- but where the flag can only be reached via IHJ and Scored via IHJ - suggestions welcome but unlikely from this website.

After watching this I wish I was able to do IHJ successfully. Awesome map, awesome video, awesome idea!!!
