well, sup guys, i just wanna know if the PS3 slim can run PS2 games?
'cuz a friend of mine wanna get one, but he got a lot of ps2 games, and he has that doubt.
do you know about this?

No it's not backwards compatible.

no they can not play anything but blue-ray and ps3 games. sony quit making the backwards compatible units.

ohhhh, thats bad, i thought was the same like the last ps3.
yeah, they should to do something about that. idk, looks great, and if is the new ps3 why can not run the ps2 games, mmm, sony, you don't have good things to bring now with this.

3 Models have BC. The 20gb and 60gb have the emotion engine, and the 80gb has software emulation. Also, not all 60gb PS3s have the emotion engine. The NTSC systems have the emotion engine, but the PAL systems have the same software emulation as the 80gb. And that's from launch. The later 80gb PS3's dropped software emulation althogether. -------------  |
