i cant wait. i use to love this game + i was amazing at it.Somewhat lost in the E3 shuffle last week was much-under-reported http://twitter.com/majornelson/statuses/2008690137 - that 4J Studios -- the same developer that helped bring the excellent conversions of Rare's Nintendo 64 platformers Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie to Xbox Live Arcade -- would also be bringing spiritual GoldenEye 007 sequel Perfect Dark to Arcade this "winter."The sci-fi original IP to Bond's GoldenEye, Perfect Dark was an underdog cla**ic for the console, and marked by troubled development that saw a number of the original designers leave during the course of its development to start their own studios (Martin Hollis to http://www.offworld.com/2009/05/from-goldeneye-to-gardening-zo.html - developer Zoonami, and a number of others like David Doak to Free Radical, where they founded the TimeSplitters franchise). There definitely comes a shift at a certain point in the game where its taut and sober opening acts loosen to uneven comedy, but it's still one of the finer first person shooters from the era. I liked perfect dark but loved Goldeneye better. I know pretty well much the same game.
But this is good news to hear cause those games were such a success. ------------- Currently playing MAG nightly with Wopr, we be owning on SVER n the EF CLAN. UT3 got boring, no competition, nothing else to prove, qM got dat **** on lock. |

perfect dark was really fun, it had the best A.I. of it's time. those bots were f***ing tough!!

My God, why can't Rare come out with more good games like they did. They made some of the most masterful games ever. -Banjo Kazooie and Tooie(Don't argue that tooie was bad, it wasn't.) -Goldeneye -Perfect Dark -DonkeyKong Country(Some of the best games I have played) Donkey Kong 64(the hardest platformer out there) ------------- XBL=GeNovaZ PC=NovazZ |
