So in your opinion is this an example of a good thread or not? I detest posts where people rag on bout stating facts when its only their opinion. Eg quoting percentages or saying most ppl when its just a small minority, wtf! Why arent ppl gracious enough to tag imo its 3 letters that take a lot of sting out of responses to posts. Are they so childish that they want to start a flaming war with everyone else then sit back and laugh? Good threads are not as rareas it appears - the 3 word story was funny, as was what do you look like? Dans Football thread I really enjoyed, my clans threads always interesting and random, i think this is the same for nearly everyone. Server stuff and custom maps etc very useful for us all in expanding the game. Twoface, Zellot, Pinn use their brains as do you Bain so I follow. Bad threads the egotistical ones and there are so many! But to stop ppl posting or do discourage them from doing so is bad. Everyone has a voice and everyone has the right to be heard. You just have to show them how to post and express themselves in the right way. |

| Trin, most threads are good threads, however the reason I agree with Dan is because this community is driven by opinion, which is awesome, however people tend to slam other player's opinions. Instead of just respecting it and then adding their opinions, it's an all out war or who is right or wrong. It's not supposed to be about who is right or wrong, but the expression of people's own experiences. Everyone's take and experiences will be different and that is what most want to hear, not whether one player is truly, absolutely truly, better than others. Who cares. I happened to believe that the players that I play alongside are the best of the best, even though others may not view it that way. Doesn't make me right and others wrong. |

Yep the ego threads are annoying... same names over and over. After all its just a game! For me I love hearing about weird kills, seeing montages or any ut3 footage, jook's combo vid and all the other funny stuff.. I don't wanna know who people think are funny or amazing etc because I believe that within the game there are so many different friendship circles... if someone doesn't like another person its a shame that it gets broadcasted on here because it can make the individual think twice about playing a game! If you picked up a copy of GTA or any other game for that matter would you expect someone to send you psn messages asking for your address so they can come over and kick the crap out of you? NO!!! More positivity, more love, more banter and more jokes... this is what we all really enjoy, taking the piss out of each other in a funny way. The friendly banter is all that is keeping myself on this game and god knows how many others. ------------- |

fact is it has nothing to do with soccer/football.. i was using that as an example.
ut3 is a competetive game, therefore their will be egos. and 100% of the people who complain about the egos have them aswell.
100% of the people that every month or so post "i just wish kids would stop talking trash and let me get back to having fun playing my ut3" are hypocrites.
first off if someone saying they are the best offends you then you obviously must think your the best, and on the other hand if you truly are so carefree and just play for fun, why are you bothering to respond? people act like someone is going into their house and punching them in the face repeteadly, all they have to do is not read the post and not respond.
if you truly are looking for the community with no egos and no sh*t talk, i suggest a co-op game, or something like "farmtown" on facebook

Yes I agree we all have egos because were individuals but we're not all egotistical which is different to having an ego. I was the one who brought the reference to ego posts so I guess you should really blame me. Tis a fair point you made there but I don't get how people are hypocrites (100%?? where did that come from??). Its not my intention to aggravate you but I didn't get the impression that anyone was suggesting a ego-free community cos there wouldn't be anyone left imo but are you suggesting we cant have the bullsh1t without the egotists? People may have difference of opinion but it doesn't have to lead to insults and stuff. Why can't they agree to disagree? After all the world is not black or white is it? |

all im saying is ego and sh*t talk is gonna come along in this type of game, its a game about dominating and viciously blowing up your opponent, its a game based on skill. these are all things that make it where that will happen regardless, anyhow we are all allowed our opinion, i wasnt saying you cant have yours im just saying mine.

Jus a few more fun threads would be good instead of everytime someone new signs up starting who is the best player, who is the best team or who is the person u would most like to bum. Lol we aren't retards on here... we know tRi, A-R and iAM are top clans... we know qM were awesome... we know chris_c is a great flag runner as I'm sure pawweezy was. i dont ever make those threads, but the way i look at it.. more posts and activity the better, no reason why you cant have both kinda topics, fun ones, competetive ones etc.
idk its just been like this forever and it was always fun for me, aside from personal attacks anything else to me i think is kinda overblown, i mean after all its a game the only way we get upset is if we allow ourselves to.
