Well vctf anyway! I was on containment tonight, it was me and 4 people i hardly ever see, well it ends up being 4 (them) 0 (us) i had 89 points. the person below me had 5! My problem is, when i would get to the enemy base, they had 2 tanks defending the flag, one on the flag and one on the ground! Seriously, were they that worried about giving up a single flag capture that they had to sit right on top of the flag?? Grrr

Thats VCTF for you... Get a flag up and defend... Unfortunately unless I'm on a really strong team I stop going for a second flag and try to defend the lead. It does kinda ruin the game but at the same time u gotta do what u gotta do. Plus VCTF is a mix of complete noobs and skilled players coz they don't do too good on foot so they get camped in the goliath or darkwalker. ------------- |

Containment has become such a massive camp map lately, its true!
Usually got two guys hiding in the back corners, a goliath, and then two campers on the shield Belt!!!
There are so many guys that solely hang back on D that it gets really difficult to get that flag past midfield.
The map needs a redeemer or a Udamage.
The only other solution is if you have a good raptor pilot, that can disrupt the campers nicely

Yeah, this happened to me the other day, I think it was user1-2009 (or something) just kept sitting on the flag with the goliath and as soon as you destroyed it, he put the next one there. Totally ruins the game. ------------- |

Yup yup, i can think of like 4 other people who when we play vctf always seem to camp and have to use a manta or goliath cuz i guess thats the only way they can kill me!

Answer: Redeemer/Rockets from a elevated angel for the tank and longbows for the manta's... I know its frustrating as hell because I tend to run flags non stop unless my team is winning... otherwise I like to defend and sometimes when I see someone pick up the flag I know that they have 0% chance of lasting more than 5 seconds. ------------- |

The more we cross modes as players the more frequently these old habits come back to the top of the agenda for conduct. Its not just vctf, ctf and warfare spamming rockets are what i keep hearing others complaining about or gooing in tdm. I think for vctf stupid things like placing heavy vehicles on top of flags makes a 30 min game take 70 mins and ends up as a trial of endurance rather than the intense adreniline pumped action that it should be. I was playing in a game where 6-7 clan members were battling each other in public alongside the rest of us but then i soon became 5 of em gainst the rest. Then when a very good player jumped ship to the stronger side i my lot were left with 5 noobs plus me and another clan member who wasnt an experienced vctf player. I thought we were done with this sh*t! For once i took exception and left to join ctf game instead. What else can you do? I do understand why ppl want to play alongside their clan mates but it soon becomes an informal clan match imo. I dont understand why ppl want to park vehicles on flags, its a tactic in a tight game but 4-0 up??? Then they have the nerve to hang the raptor over the flag area just in case your manta threatens their tank! wtf? Maybe Epic should make players take an IQ test and then they enter the game slots based on their intelligence. All the idiots would be playing against each other (proly 1 game will last hours, well it'll keep them occupied). |
