go buy a gts250 or anything greater than that..i have the gts 250 and i run the game on high settings depending on map i get anywhere between 45-130 fps i have an onboard 9300 and i had to run the game on all low settings for me to be able to play..so..recommended i say get a gts250 or anything greater than that card..bought it for about 115 or so at best buy.

my advice
-- im sorry @nova -- i dont mean any disrespect ; but if he cant run ut3 - do not advise him to get a quad core
dual core processor chipsets are fine -- you do not need quadcore unless you wanna get super funky and technical with ****

i run a super cheap -- nvidia geforce 9800 gt - 512mb (bought on day of release): this can be overclocked but it is not needed

i have seen some awful videos with people having better rigs than mine but no clue...

ut3 ran perfect for me always -xp 32bit with less that 3gbram usage on a single core processor!!! your rig must be archaic
Q. what chipset do u have?

n/b
will sell u a pc built for ut3 very cheap with everything you need .. (private sale)
300 - 400watt psu
nvidia geforce 9800gt
amd athlon 64; mobo included
3.5 gig ram
sound card + 5.1 trust speakers
350 gb hdd sata - from ps3/ laptop- will work with pc if activated in hdd manager

wow the 9600 works -- cool cheers dragov --

@ nbk beastie -- you could buy 2 2ndhand 9600 units and use SLI-- one for your background and os .. and one for ut3 :)

My rig isnt even 2 years old yet but is a laptop, with intel core 2 duo duel processor t5800 and 3gb of DDR2 came with option to upgrade card up to geforce 1535mb, was just gonna upgrade it to a higher spec card but if the machine is past it ill wait till i move and get a desktop. i want at least ps3 quality or it will annoy the hell out of me.

much respect
