Hey Peeps, Got some news to share with you all. Very few know whats going on. Like to take some short time here to share with you guys for the ones who care. As a result in life some good thangs must come to an end. Nothings 100% definate but as of right now Im currently off PSN and UT3 both. Some personal issues has rose to the occasion that has overtaken my life at the moment and possibly forever. I would love to say I will be attending UT3 here in the near future but at this day in age as of right now I wont be back. Could be weeks, could be months if I do come back. Nothing is certain. Also wanted to share that I have requested to WOPR to take me off the Forum Moderator position for good even if I do come back. I have got to involved with this game and PS3. It has caused me alot of hardaches in the last couple weeks and now I wish I could take it all back. Ive let the PS3 step in between me and to much of my life and the people around me. The people around me are getting affected by it. Those people are the important people, my mind has forgot who was important and who wasnt, nobodys fault but mine. If you all wanna know what comes good out of a small community, well out of a small community you get to learn people alot better and become friends with them pretty quick. The fact is on any given time when I was playing UT3 I could know that some of my cool peeps were holding it down over there in the vehicles while some of you were playing the foot modes with me. With this small community it has brought us all a lil closer together and its always been up to US to keep this game alive with the very lil support it has gotten. Just know guys whatever happens, we made this game survive, we all became a family. And thats why I got sunked into this game so much was because of you guys. Its always been a passion playing UT for the last 10 years on and off but this game really let me take it to a new whole level. So if I never get a chance to come back I just wanna wish you all the best of luck in life. These are all memories that i will never forget as growing up through the years to come. Ill keep you all posted for future news in the upcoming weeks. Thanks guys for being such great friends. For those of you that are on my PSN, if you would all keep me on your friends list for a while would be nice just in case I do return soon. Thanks guys... Farewell... ------------- Currently playing MAG nightly with Wopr, we be owning on SVER n the EF CLAN. UT3 got boring, no competition, nothing else to prove, qM got dat **** on lock. |

Always sad to see a good player go. : ( I know what you mean, I can't count how many times I should have been doing something other than play UT3, it really got in the way of school for me especially. Luckily I have pulled through with passing grades but man It's been close. I have finals this and next week too which is why I haven't been able to play much at all. In the summer I'll be golden, but in the fall I'll be starting up at a four-year university so I still plan to make time for UT3 just not as much as I have been for the past year and a half. : ( It sucks how things change, but it is inevitable. ------------- Dear CTF, I know I have been spending a lot of time dueling lately, but you will always be my first love. |

there is something about this game and the community that seems to have this affect on a lot of people, myself included. The community, in my opinion, is the right size b/c its almost like a small town in that everyone knows everyone or atleast of everyone...Like Ewokk said, there were nights I should have been studying or what not for school, and I would find myself playing this silly game. It might be the community, it might be the "fix", IDK but other games have never been so addicting to me...things come up and sometimes you have to take a step back and see what really is important. Ya Remy, but gaming has never been so addicting before. I mean, I'd consider myself one of the biggest gaming nerds out there. BUT, back then when i was playing on systems like the SNES, Genesis, or even the PS2, I'd never spend more than 3-4 hours on them. Most of the time, i'd be working out (Maxed my bench out to 220 before i got a ps3 2 years ago. Guess what it is now, LOLOLOL  ), shootin hoops with my friends, or just relaxing. Now, I find myself on this PS3 longer than i should be. There's better things i could be doing with my time than just sitting here fraggin people all day. DAMN YOU SONY and DAMN YOU MICROSOFT!!! I should've got a Wii. No way i'd be caught on that system for no longer than 30 minutes >_>Oh, and DAMN YOU EPIC GAMES!!!  ------------- |

i always tried to keep ut3 limited, i wasnt anywhere near this but ppl playing more then 2 hours a day every day seriously need to step back from the game a little or any game. ive played quake live for months, so far ive accumilated 1.6days played (or about 40 hours), if you divide it up by the amount of days ive played about 4 months (120 days) im averaging about 35 mins a day. granted im probably playing an hour or two on some and none on others but you get the point. i personally feel like ive played the game quite a bit and it does take up some of my time that could be used doing other stuff. i cant imagine what some of you are doing that are logging 40 hours in one week, or 8 hours a day etc.
games are fun, they arent a sport, they arent a lifestyle, they arent a job, and they arent your life.. enjoy them in moderation dont turn your life into a game.
(im not saying incremental did, im just saying i find it upsetting/sad for some reason the amount of time some ppl invest in gaming.. its basically throwing your life away)

| o man i kow exactly how you feel. ut3 has made me late for work, late for school. and won time i had a piano recital and i didnt sleep cause i was on ut. luckily i still wow'd the crowd lol. also a good friend of mine spagender (who keeps in touch through email) doesnt play ut anymore because it has caused him so much turmoil. My thesis is everyone should back off ut3 for a while and enjoy life then return. as a matter of fact this summer ill be doing playing more piano than ut3. just to clear my head. |

Yeah that sh*t about the ps3 coming inbetween you and people in the real world rings true for me to. You can solve that problem by buying your loved ones and friends ps3s with a copy of ut3. That way everyone is happy.
