I see the red light of death when I turn on my ps3 :(. I don't know if i buy a new ps3 now (but i have no money) or if i wait the new ps3 slim but if i'm inactive i think leaving the team but i hope to return one day. Sorry for my bad english

if you dont see the yellow light, let your PS3 rest for a bit. (24hrs to be safe)

before you buy a new one try replacing the hard drive. It takes any 5400rpm Sata laptop hard drive and they can be found on http://www.ebay.com - www.ebay.com or a local computer hardware store. The yellow light could come from a hard drive failure. Here's the video on replacing it

I read on a console repair site that "99% of Playstation 3 faults are not caused by a HDD problem and so it would only be as a very last resort that we might have to format your PS3 hard drive." so you'd probably be wasting your time buying one. ------------- |
