qualifications: you already know camping will be involved you play VCTF enough to make people nervous when you join in headshots will occur (hopefully in moderation) and you will be frustrated you know how to operate 75% of the vehicles on every map you have a mic and most importantly.......if you just wanna have fun! ------------- Anything that bleeds for 7 days and doesn't die is the only thing you should fear |

IDEA......depending on how many players we have, once captains are picked (whether its 2 or 4) the captains can duel or have a deathmatch to determine their pick. and the team selection can be done in a chat. ------------- Anything that bleeds for 7 days and doesn't die is the only thing you should fear |

I'd say its most important the teams are picked with some balance, so not just flag runners or extreme campers. Hopefully the game will be as open as possible. Many people are gonna want to play in this, at 6v6 you could easily fill 3 servers with very good players. Choose the captains and then let them choose their teams I guess. I've got no problem if someone didn't pick me so don't see why anyone else should. ------------- |

If you need help organizing, I'll help, but in no way am I qualified to play in a vCTF All-Star match. I'm a warfare player.
If we are looking at the best of the best, then here are some players that should probably be included. Here are some names that come to mind off the top of my head. If I didn't include you, sorry. I just probably didn't remember correctly.

No point banding names around, it is just gonna upset people if they aren't on there. Would it be best to pick 4 captains or leaders for this? DoD, Two Fase + 2 others? Then we can trust these guys to pick the teams. I know a lot of A-R are gonna be in there with a few iAM's but providing the guys picking the teams can remain unbiased I don't see why anyone would have problem with them picking the teams. ------------- |

It's an All-Star match, of course it's biased. Biased towards players that deserve to be in the match.
Dan, the best 4 people to pick names would be DoD, Two Fase, Skiller and you. Why don't you guys just get into chat and sort it out. I'd caution against making this comprised only of A-R/iAM members. Like Xterminator's list above, there are a lot of players that are not "known" for vctf, but beast in it every time they enter. ------------- |

No they shouldn't. Not everyone on those teams is an All-Star. Those team are mostly successful because they play as a team. No offense to anyone. We had the same issue with the warfare all-star match and I told a lot of my own teammates that they weren't going to be a part of the "all-Star" match. They understood. If you remember, I wasn't even a part of it. It was left to the best of the best. And to this day, everyone agreed that the best of the best were playing. ------------- |

I've missed headhunter, chemjaxx, xplorer, coolworx, jorgelius, envy and god knows how many others but yeah that would be close to my all star match up. This is definately something worth following through, no need to livestream it would certainly be cool if chris could record from in game, along with anyone else who has the capabilities to do so. ------------- |

Just a simple thought. There are a lot of vctf players. Why not pick the top 28 (6 v 6 + 1 sub per team). Gaurenteed not everyone will be able to make it. Therefore you allow for some latitude. Then play 3 maps. The winners of best 2/3 plays the other winner of best 2/3. This way everyone gets to play the same amount of games in one day. The two losing teams play each other. Mix up the teams to even them out. It should be a brutal battle. ------------- |

Pinnacle above anyone is the best a getting **** done. If he has a captaincy the event is much more likely to succeed. Coupled with this he has the knowledge of VCTF and good relations with the community.

What about with mixing the Teams? I mean EUSA/USEU so same rules or chances for everyone..:) Cause when U have 2 US Teams and 2 EU Teams its same like= EU vs. USA... But it should be a All Star Match...no matter where U come from... Cheers... Coolworx -------------

here's a n novel idea. how about a proportional representation system Every ACTIVE VCTF clan sends at least one player. The smaller clans send 1 .... i.e DEEP sends Ether (don't anyone say he doesn't belong). The larger clans like AR and iAM and F.U.K. send 2 or 3. That way you have a true All Start match. Every one is represented, every geography and there are no favorites or arbitrary lists. Also this belongs in he Vehicle mode section!! No offense but I think everyone involed should be Vehicle players first.
There are some really good UT3 players being mentioned but VCTF is not their first mode. Because they are awesome at the game doesn't mean that they should get a spot in a mode they rarely play and in some cases are openly hostile about.

Hmm, i think people see a All star Match different... All star as in old good gamers or the best pr date?!
Maybe a all star serie with 4 teams. With a vote on all the players ( that way its the players who decide) Then the 32 players on top play.
Maybe then its time to pick captains ( top 4 off course)
And the fourth capt. got the first pick and so on...

I think a kind of "2nd team match" would be a good idea - I'd admit obviously I'm not good enough to play in a match like the above but a "2nd" team match would give a lot of people who I'm sure want to get involved with something like this an opportunity. All depends if people want to be categorised into 1st and 2nd groups, I know I don't mind. Could see it causing controversy though with people thinking they should be in a different game. ------------- |

Yeah obv it needs some discussion before it goes ahead just like the Warfare all stars match did. Keep the ideas flowing... I don't think we need more than one line up, 6v6 or 7v7 will work as a one off match. In my opinion the players chosen should be picked on their individual skills, team work and how well they communicate.... Its not gonna be the spectacle people want if there are guys playing who can't even call out when they are about to go in for a flag. ------------- |
