The new upcoming Engine from UT4 which already revealed their newest WIP called "Samaritan"
The engine looks incredibly powerful and its already confirmed to be stronger and even more capable then the current most powerful engine around: CryEngine3
eg. New shader modeling, new lightning technology.

This is the engine that will bring forth the newest games eg. 2013 - 2015 released by Epic and all the companies that will have this engine sold of provided for cooperation between Epic and third parties.

The Elemental demo was released 3 minutes ago. Just found it on youtube.
Hot stuff!

It's pretty much a boosted version of UE3, with more physics, graphics, etc. They are not fixing something that's not broken. UE3 was great. They are just taking it to the next level. Remember, it's up to the developer to use the engine. It's not the engine that shines, but the working layer on top of it that shines.

Your 50% right Pinnacle.

A game development team cannot be creative if they dont have the proper tools to be creative IN. Like an engine that is LIMITED in its possibilities. This new engine with so much more advanced stuff will greatly boost game development in terms of idea's and the extending/taking things to the extreme with idea's that are already have been thought off.

Although I have to agree that the actual outcome behind the game is still the brain of the producing team.

You mean its not the actually gameplay footage revealed?
No, thats right. Its an engine. A preview of what can be achieved with it.
You should be siked for this! Think of the possibilities if you watch the video again!

And your using Rendering as a wrong word for what you actually mean with it :P
Rendering is generating a digital image out of threedimensional model with the help of computer.
Thats whats being shown to us in the video all the time!

Still, I would like to see some gameplay footage as well :)
Ill keep this thread updated.
