That's not really fair to say, a lot of players simply enjoyed playing UT over quake for their own reasons. Back in the early days of UT and Q3 it was more about which game you preferred and there were ridiculously skilled players on both games. I have yet to see any player in any game have better aim and more raw talent than GitzZz. I agree that Q3 is more skilled than UT, but only slightly. You can't really blame people for enjoying one game over the other.

Well UT was focused on more of a "fun-factor" gameplay rather than the "pure skill" gameplay Quake had.

thats really nothing.. no offense of course, but there was noone of skill on the opposing team.
 
but like you were implying.. quake live pubs can be pretty bad.. sometimes you get good comp and sometimes you get a bunch of scrubs.
 
i went 46-0 in a ctf match.. and the opposing team actually had some decent players.
 
i went 81-0 in a tdm pub.. but that was all scrubs

as far as UT you guys are def right.. it does take skill.
 
ive always considered quake to be way more competetive though.. especially clan wise... UT has had some solid duel comp but its never been where quake is for clan competetion and team tournies

Quake in my opinion is more oriented for the deathmatch game types like DM/TDM/Duel.  I liked playing team modes in UT better, especially CTF and TDM.

But yeah I'm thinking of pugging in Quakelive if I can.  The pub games are getting really bad, lol.

yeah man that sh1t was pretty fun.I I still have to fix that issue cause for some reason its using the GOW anti-idle mod that supposed to be for the WAR gametype. durrrrrr I'm such a noob admin :P Hey hop in our vent one day if you and WOPR are just chillin.
