I hope they did something about the excessive boring running.
There was almost no action outside battles then the hopes for an epic cutscene, jump over a few rocks and do some parkour xD or open a useless box with Gil inside it...
Ah well, we will find out this afternoon =]

Yes, i f***ing love it. More open worlds, battle system is great, flow of the game is smooth, story is a great sequel imo. All and all its a fun game, better than XIII imo. Every final fantasy fan should play it. I'll give more info if wanted, sent Lunchy a fairly long message about the game lol i'm actually grinding some exp right now as i type :S i'm about 60 to 70% through it i suppose. Haven't had much time to play it, but do when i can. I'm curious for what all the DLC is going to be considering its got its own section on the main screen, i know the casino is going to get some but what else???? HMMMMMMM

Noel:
LVL 30 COM; LVL 27 SEN; LVL 28 RAV; LVL 23 SYN; LVL 15 MED; Serah:
LVL 28 COM;
LVL 30 RAV;
LVL 25 SEN;
LVL 23 SAB;
LVL 13 MED;
I still cannot own him.. my characters are ridiculously strong right now..
After he loses half his HP.. he uses "Body and Soul" all the time which gives him Shell, Protect, Heal and Vigilance.
What strategy did you use for this noob?
After that, he quickly restores to full health

Hit him hard, Relentless Assault to stagger his ass. Use potions instead of a medic. And have a good Sentinal just in case. I had a Pulse Night leveled out which is easy to do. But only fall back on Delta Attack (Rav, Com, Sen) if your not strong enough. I used 1 Phoenix Down in that battle so don't be afraid to have to use them. I don't remember what my levels were for my characters at that time. I have a Gremlin i use for my monster ravanger, thing is a beast. Its Magic builds up high and fast, its at around 560 right now for me. But yeah, if you can get away with it use Relentless Assault so he doesn't get a chance to heal after you stagger him, i think it took two staggers for me to get him.... if not strong enough then just Delta attack with a good sentinal like the Pulse Knight. Later in the story hint: -Goblin Chieftain makes a great Sentinal, Flanitor makes a great medic when you get to those guys. -After your boss battle you're struggling with you'll go to Archylte Steepe, explore the **** out of it and get all the treasure spheres and there is a really tough fight out there but you'll need to level up for it. But fighting all the monsters out there is a good quick grind for levels and to get a certain monster componet that will help sky rocket your little helpers -Episode 4 starts in Academia, you'll get to a point while fighting your way through lots of **** fights and you finally started getting CP again, and its alot. I grinded there last night for a hour and a half and got my levels up really high Currents levels. Beginning of Episode 4 just after boss battle at Academia: Noel: Lv. Com - 99 Rav - 61 Sen - 44 Sab - 50 Syn - 18 Serah: Lv. Com - 51 Rav - 99 Sen - 50 Syn - 29 Med - 43 |

I finally beaten him. Thanks for the tips Seph.
Where are you now? And how the fvck did you manage to get Noel COM LVL99 already?????
My team so far:
Noel:
COM - 52
RAV - 48
SEN - 29
SYN - 28
MED - 31
Serah:
COM - 48
RAV - 51
SEN - 26
SAB - 31
MED - 28
I have a 2 MED monster and 1 one COM monster named "Orion" in my Party Paradigm.
His ATK power is high and his Peral Link attack is quite good.
Im in the second part of Augusta Tower now. Ready to go for that Proto Fal'Cie (Spoiler alert)
Question: Did you beat that giant Cie'th in one of the side streets in that big city? (forgot the name, Amentia or something?) He is fn strong. The guide says I need at least 2500hp with Noel and 1500 with Serah. I gave it one shot. My whole party died after one attack....

I finished this game, wait till you get to the end, pretty sweet cut scene then something that makes you go.... "Well FvCK!" lol
When i was there i beat the big cieth yes, i was already lvl 99 in two of the roles for both characters.... my characters now are lvl 99 in all roles except one. I have a leveling up problem, i hate being weak haha. Tough battle you're coming up on though, be prepared and make sure you shout at Hope on a live trigger (little tip for ya) :) to be continued.....

Oh and as for monsters.
Goblin chieftain or bunkerbeast are excellent sentinials. Dragoon and Bahamut are good COM. And the Cloud burst or Blue chocobo are amazing ravangers I use the Goblin, Dragoon, and Blue Chocobo in my paradigm pack.... no need for a medic, Serah has that covered, especially if shes equipped with the Gilmore Hat which gives her a potion boost so no need for medic. A little bonus on using a blue chocobo too is that if you level him all the way up he becomes a fast runner in the chocobo races at Serendipity, Good way to win some of the prizes and get a rare weapon. The weapon is odinblade or odinsbow.... You get the chaos crystal from Serendipity, take it to hope in just a lil bit later in the game for you, and he turns it into either a odinblade or bow. Don't matter which one you choose cuz after you get one you can buy the other one at serendipity for 1000 credits. And if you have at least 70 fragments it makes this weapon the most powerful weapon in the game.

Lol :P I still wanna know how you lvl up so quickly.
I guess just EXP farming? Or is the some other trick to do that?
I level up mostly by trying to beat enemies that are way stronger then me.
Sentinel really helps me with that. If that critical hit does not hit me I always
use Synergist to boost myself badly. That always does the trick with most tough enemies.
Only that Big Cieth is fn annoying :P
Haha another spoiler alert :P Luckily, I already knew that :P
The guide already ruined that for me, it said "If you want to solve the Live trigger yourself, please stop reading" And yep.. my eyes took off to the next sentence...
Nice, cant wait till I get to the end.
One more question. Have you visited Mystic in Serendepity again after you beat the game for showing those fragments?
If yes, is it something that would make me stronger? :)

At your point in the game just find somewhere where you can use Relentless assault and win a battle in 5 seconds to get 500xp, rinse and repeat for awhile, i would serioiusly spend hours doing this.
If your not strong enough then just suffer through a few battles till you get stronger. And once you get closer to the very end you level up fast as well, lots of battles for 1200xp or so and most dont take long. But even at lvl 99's i ran into one enemy combination involving a pissed off Bahamut with two healers with him that i couldn't beat, Had to hit retry. Kinda pissed me off lol. He shows up right before you go into the final battles. Once you get to him you'll know what im talking about, just run past him, don't even f*** with him. Archylte Steepe is where i did a lot of my leveling up btw. Turn the weather to sunny for easier battles with decent xp and good monster materials for leveling up your monster. Turn it to stormy for awesome XP for you. Also on Sunny you can battle the biggest enemy in the game. Looks like a damn Dinosaur. The Long Gui. He's f***ing tough.... really tough, its a long battle, But i did it :) |
