A pet peeve I have concerning online forums:
If someone writes something and they put this ====>
 or this ====>;) after it, it means they are JOKING with you, messing with you, pulling your leg, etc etc. Alot of arguments (fun as they are to read) and misunderstandings would be avoided if people payed attention to this emoticon!!!!

Yeah, he does use it alot and I certainly can't speak for him but he is a good example. Probably alot of the time he IS just trying to joke around, however unsuccessfullly....
Anyhow, someone's always getting their panties in a knot cuz they think they're being insulted when it's quite obvious someones just messing with them.
Oh yeah, another one is the grammar and spelling police....so ANNOYING

They get it wrong often enough to make it an annoyance...we make a wager now about what they will forget.
If I were a manager at a restaurant, it'd be mandatory the waitstaff write down orders. I can't see the benefit of trying to memorize a table's order - it's just as fast to put it down in black and white.

I get what you mean.. even though it is impressive to see someone actually bring out the correct order and it does look a little more professional.. if they get it wrong though.. well all hell breaks loose plus I always want to ask the waiter/waitress if they can repeat my order just in case lol.. but I dont.
