I think that a games soundtrack can define it and make you remember how much you enjoyed it for years to come
Rather list them in a top 5 or top 10 or some videos :) here are a few of mine. I think this is a big subject that hasnt had alot of attention so I hope this thread get alot of posts of songs people love or have forgot :) |

hmmmm i love final fantasy 7 and x soundtracks... shadow of the colossus soundtracks are all good... assassins creed main theme also... and others that i would l;ist but im about to go to college now so that can wait xD

Best soundtrack on a game I've ever heard would have to be GTA's Vice City. "I Ran" by A Flock of Seagulls for a theme song (at least during the commercials) and also including Slayer's "Reign In Blood." Fk'n epic!

Final Fantasy is pretty big with the soundtracks.
Shadow Of The Collossus, Zelda, and some old school games like Super Mario have geat soundtracks.
But hands down the 'Silent Hill' games have the best video game soundtracks. Akira Yamaoka is a pure GENIUS at creating music that fits the game so well.

( i know the last two isnt in the game... its the films piano versions whihc i prefr to the ff7 game soundtracks.. even though i do like the originals too :) ok i dont want to fill up the whole page of vids so ill just post the rest in links http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6GrZYE2il0 jenova battle theme as u can see i love FF soundtracks xD but theres alot more of them i like that i cant be bothered to think of and put down.,... but also onto shadow of the colossus just a few of the tracks i love.. to be fair i could of just put down any 3 from that game since all the soundtracks were amazing!!... but yeah.. i think that ff7/ffx/SOTC had the best soundtracks out of the games i had played and the music really complimented with the games and had the right choices at the right times to make the experience great :D |

haha nos how could i forget the original sonic soundtrack! xD haha thats also awesome... as is ezio's family and other assassins creed soundtracks... also castlevania symphony of the night soundtracks are good... also devil may cry 1 had good soundtracks too.. however not dmc3 as they were all too hard and loud and pretty much just screaming lol...
