ps3 problem, can anyone figure it out?

i sign in on psn, i can go online everything works fine but when i put ut3 in and go to multiplayer it says i need to be signed into playstation network EVEN THOUGH I AM.... it does this all the time now and it does it under every account.  should i scrub the ps3 a restore it back to original settings and whipe the memory drive??  i dont know why it does this or how to fix it, any idea's?????

I dont think it's your ps3, try signing out/in of psn while in game, or restarting your ps3. 
Those 2 things worked for me when that happened  D:

i did that like 20 times litteraly.  turned it off n on, signed out, signed n other accounts, same thing over again.

What kind of download/upload speed do you have? I used to have this problem along with being constantly signed out of the PSN. I switched ISPs and don't have any more problems. My download went from 5 to 15 and my upload from 1.5 to 3. I've been told that you need 8 down to play games without any problems.

this same **** happens to me quite a bit i just always from main menu(ut3) sign out then back in in the bottom left corner it should say your psn then you should be able to log in sometimes its a b**** n still wont let you just try again
 
I've actually had it sign me in and i played as my ps3 sign in name John lol everyone was makin fun of my "original" name
 
and bain what do you mean 8 down? my connection upload at 300 kbs and downloads a 1 MBs I play with no problems

yeah its not my internet.  i have a 25mb download and a 4mb upload, i'd have to say my net is faster than 90% of the gaming commun.  i also have a $200 dual ban netgear router and i know its not my equipment thats causing it.  you can play games just fine on a 3mb download as well

the thing is I AM signed into psn.  i can send messages, go on the internet so on ect..but when i try to play ut3 it tells me i need to be signed into a psn account for multiplayer functions.......even though i am.....

Sounds like a Gamespy issue.  This happened to a bunch of people the other day.  Probably related directly to UT3 support.

the only thing is there were other people playing online at the time and i had messaged them bout it too, yet again i was online able to do all psn things but not play.  you maybe right though just not sure how others are able to play but not me.  guess i dont really know how the Gamespy system works, if its down you would think no one could play

This also happens to me.  Sometimes I just reset my router and it starts working again, and sometimes it does not work till the next day.  BTW... I have 25MB up 20MB down so it is not a speed problem.

Like what Aqua has said, it probably is Ut3 support... My friends have had the same issue and it has only been with this particular game.. They just press circle and keep trying multiplayer and eventually get in lol. Not sure if it is your actual internet, rather it is just the game and it's wonderful errors.

If I simultaneously sign in to the PSN and load UT3 I get the PSN signed in message but UT3 never signs in. I have to quit the game a re-load it, and then it works. So now I just wait until I'm signed in to the PSN and then load the game.

my ps3 knows better then to fk up! because it can't fly! and i can throw things really high!

Been happening to me more frequently lately.....I found that quitting game and reloading usually remedies this
