Gears of War 3 (XBOX360)

   Well, it was finally announced:  Gears of War 3 to be released  April 2011!

Cliff Brezinski was interviewed on the Jimmy Fallon show about a week ago and made the announcement of the release also showing a trailer called Ashes to Ashes.

(On a side-note, when Fallon was introducing Cliff Brezinski he called him the creator of the classic games Unreal and Gears !!! Three cheers for a mention on national TV of Unreal!!)

Some of the exciting info includes:

--FINALLY  a female character callled Anya (there may be others too) to play as
--4 player co-op has been confirmed for the campaign
--Campaign story written by Karen Traviss who wrote the Gears of War book series
--There is a new enemy called the Lambent who apparently change form as you fight them
--They are tackling the problematic matchmaking that plagued Gears 2- improved regional filtering 
   was mentioned!
--Gears 3 will introduce some old popular Gears 1 maps which were not made available in Gears 2.

	Gears of War 3 release day has been confirmed for September 20, 2011. Details about the beta are available here: http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=764512 Edit: One other thing: if you care about getting that special golden gun then it appears only those who play the beta will have access to it! Unlike Gears 2, you won't be able to get it even if you buy the special edition of the game when it comes out. From the Epic forums:".....- Play 90 Matches in the beta and unlock the gold retro lancer, if you get 100 kills with the weapon you get to keep in in the retail game. (You must get 100 kills with it for it to go over to your full game)....."
	Do you realize that in about forty years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tatoos and pierced navels? O.o
