There is only one game u should be buying at this moment in time and thats unchartered 2.

you can watch people playing it on Justin.TV, looks pretty cool.  A first person shooter, role playing game with tons of custom weapons and customizable character cla**es.  4 player co-op, doing missions, or single player mode.  I may pick it up this weekend for the PS3.  But once COD:MW2 comes out, I'll be playing that on the PC a lot.

Agreed - still can't get enough of this game. Online is actually great fun imo.

It is meant to look like a graphic novel.  The graphics are very cartoony/comic bookish
set in a post apocalyptic planet

Borderlands is a very fun game.  I have been waiting for its release since 2007, when the gun count was around 500,000.  It has since ballooned to an estimated 17.5+ million.  The art style put a lot of people off, myself included, especially after seeing that the original graphics had a more realistic slant.  I got over the change, but then was put off by the change in gameplay and atmosphere - from gritty and serious to comedic.  I still purchased the game on day one and am glad I did so.  My original expectations can be realized with the release next year of id's Rage. As an RPS, with comedic elements, an interesting art style, and an emphasis on having a good time, Borderlands excels.  

Since when did graphics alone determine whether or not a game is good?

I used to love putting my bread in super nintendos... when it came out it was toast and looked like it had amazing graphicd.

YES!  Finally a forum in which I can address this oft spouted rhetorical question (too lazy to sign up on others merely to answer this).  X, graphics play a huge part in modern gaming.  It's part of the package - along with sound, gameplay, controls, and so on.  So when these graphics were changed, a lot of people were dismayed because it completely changed the feel of the game.  The game no longer made sense as a gritty, realistic (I use the word loosely) RPS.  This would mean having incongruities that would be disruptive to immersion.  Necessarily, gameplay and atmosphere were adjusted.  Even though this was the right move if they weren't going to restore the old graphical style, it was still a bit upsetting as the original concept had many people hooked for a year plus.  In the end the game turned out great, it's just not what it was originally.  I am glad they changed it fully rather than partially when they decided to switch gears.  Here are links for the original preview trailer, modern, and Rage.  Again, this is a surprisingly awesome game and I take my hat off to Gearbox for pulling off a game centered around comedy, coop, and fun.
