Did you know that the red and blue searchlights follow the flags on the ctf map Searchlight? So for example, if you're on blue and someone takes your flag all you have to do is look up at the blue searchlight and it will be pointing to wherever your flag is. Pretty cool huh.

Did you know that in addition to the shape charge destroying the barricade in downtown, that the redeemer will also destroy the barricades? It works in instant action, I haven't tried it yet in a real game. One could argue that the redeemer could be put to better use, but still, good to know.

everytime i *TRY* to blow a barricade up with a redeemer it says you cannot destroy the barricade with this weapon, use the shaped charge or redeemer. I JUST SHOT IT WITH A REDEEMER. WTF

Did you know that you can get into the stationary and moving turrets while you are carrying either the orb or the flag? So for instance in the warfare map Avalanche, instead of just guarding center node with the orb on foot you can do so in the turret. This can be really helpful because if your health gets pretty low while fighting off enemies you can simply jump into the turret and thereby get a boost to your "health". So long as the turret is close enough to the node, the orb you are carrying will still protect it.
In the VCTF map Rails, you can make a pretty sneaky flag run if you manage to take your turret all the way to the enemy side. You can then grab the flag and ride back to your base with it for an easy score. Very often no one bothers to look at the turret while they are scrambling to find out which direction the flag went.
Lastly, when someone takes your flag, for the first 2 or 3 seconds it will still be showing the flag on the map.. so if you can remember to quickly look at the map in the upper right-hand corner you can often see which direction the flag is going.

Some people can get b****y about this turret thing... personally I think its fine, orbs go in there so flags can.
Plus u gotta be one hell of a noob not to be carrying a longbow in a vehicle mode. Good tip about taking the flag and seeing where it is going. The thing is, the flag will show up based on a radius from the flag point. But yeah you can judge the flag run 90% of the time from this. Also did you know that having a bot is better than a complete noob. You can take the vehicles off them and if they see a flag carrier they communicate and show you where the flag is. |

That reminds me of something else I saw in the book... I saw someone recently complaining about their vehicles being destroyed when they are unmanned but it specifically recommends doing just that as a sneaky strategy.
And yeah, lol, sometimes a bot can be better than a noob.

i destroy the other teams vehicles when they are unmanned just so they wont use them when i grab their flag or w.e mainly the raptor and goliath (suspence since its one of the most maps played)

Yep why not destroy a vehicle. In a flag running scenario you have taken the flag and are taking it back to your base. What is more likely to catch you? A fast vehicle or a guy on foot?

Anyone know of any interactive features on the maps? The only ones I know are the two in Necropolis, stepping on the light to bring the gates up and shooting the light over the entrances to udamage and keg to get the fire going. Rails, hitting the switch to raise and lower the bridge.

WOW, I just found the coolest and totally useless easter egg on the new VCTF map Stranded.
Okay, you know where the redeemer is, out in the water in the crate? Well, behind the crate where the redeemer is there is a large rock sticking up out of the water. If you look closely in the water there is one of those tarydium(sp?) rocks sticking out of the rock. If you go under the water and look you will see there is an arch underneath this large rock. You can't go through the arch, the game won't let you get any closer. If you shoot this tarydium rock a man holding some sort of spear will come out and walk around the rock!!!! You have to be underwater to see it. COOOOOL
