after like 10 hours of searching for fix's for the problem
i've had, i finally found a youtube video that shows step by step instructions
on how to fix it!! and just about everyone who try'd it says that it works perfect!!
so just a big FUK YOU TO SONY for tryin to make me pay 150$ for sumthing that shouldent
cost more than 25$..search Gilksy1 on youtube and hes got the 6 step video!
i no mafia,silly,DRoNE and a couple more ppl have had problems so im just givein a lil heads up!
(i havent done this yet to my ps3 but im stayin positive that it'll work!

If mine ever breaks in the UK it costs £140 to fix apparently. IDK if it's the same in US but over here they operate this Continuous Play scheme that costs £5 a month and if it breaks you they'll replace it for free in 2 days.
Instead of paying £60 a year to insure something which shouldn't be breaking anyway I'm just going to take out the CP plan after my console is already broken, wait a few weeks before claiming then ring up and get it replaced. Easy! PS3 replaced for £5. Then just cancel the scheme. I'd much prefer to do that instead of open the console up etc. |

overheating/ hardware failure.
in my case i think its hardware failure cuzz the 1st time
it happened it was after 30mins. of play.
hopefully this solves my problem!!

when ur ps3 begins to get worm the lights on ur ps3 should blink b/w green and blue(I THINK) ,when that happens
u should turn it off and give it a rest for an hour or 2.
also when ur fan turns on its another sighn that its getting to hot
and needs a rest.
also, keeps ur ps3 in a well placed spot where it gets alot of air,
dont keep it in a glassed case, or in a room thats to hot.
every week or so go over ur system with a cloth to clear any dust
from blocking ur vents! all the advice i can give!!!!!

From what I've heard, it's very rare.. about 1-2% of all PS3s will ever get it and sure, that might mean.. uhh.. let's pretend I didn't start saying that.. but anyways, it's not too common of an occurance, so chances are that even playing heavily will not necessarily lead up to it happening, though I kind of thought that it was in my PS3's future until last night.. For some reason, I think corrupted file (a pre-Titan pack mod) was causing the mod loading and deleting issues.. along with a few other glitches, but they have seemed to stop.. once I uninstalled the Titan Pack and deleted all my mods.

yea,its very uncommon,unlike the 40% chance of the RROD for the xbox.
(all 3 of my xbox's got the RROD)
playing alot dosnt mean ur gonna get it, just incresses ur chance.
for the most part its hardware failure.

One time, I played my PS3 close to 8 hrs straight. I had no problems. The only problem I had once when I played GTA IV. My PS3 put a sign on the top right corner on the tv saying "PS3 is overheating. System need to be turn off." Afterwards, I cut it off and never saw that sign again.

Since we leave the windows open in my house open often, the high fans will turn on virtually every time I play after ~10-20 game play. They've stayed on for several hours without any problem...
Although the high power fan is a sign that your PS3 is getting hot, it is by no means an indication of an impending "yellow light." |

once my ps3 started it was working fine then while installing the
new update it keep "failing"...so i took out my hard drive and BOOM
i get the yellow light of death again!! i need a new power supply or hard drive!

And disconnected the bluray ribbon And reconnected it, works fine now |
