At least you make valid points I can understand.

I can sympathise with the frustration of some noob killling you and yeah the auto aim on some guns is silly but 200,000 people online at any given time. If ut3 had half that or even a quarter I'd probably still be playing it. I just don't enjoy playing in empty servers... plus all my buddies are on COD now.

Obviously the game takes a certain amount of skill, hell even parking a car takes a little skill. Just because a game has tournament support does not mean that it is highly skillful. Tournaments are conducted with the purpose of making money and CoD has a rediculous amount of players so of course the tourneys will fill up. A company such as MLG only supports games that they know will attract attendace ( most MLG staff members recognize that Halo is far from the most skilled game on console). Bad Company is simply unrealistic to hold a tournament for. Too many players on each team, huge maps, too long avg game length. If you honestly believe that CoD takes alot of raw skill then you simply havent played enough shooters to know better. There are plenty of realistic shooters that rank far ahead of CoD in terms of skill, it just so happens that CoD is more popular than Jesus so it garners the attention of tourney holders.

whoa now, FPS games are all i play. just because i say CoD takes skill doesn't mean that i don't know what i'm talking about. if you want to talk about skill then maybe you should have played Unreal Championship. tons of professional teams such as type-z and legend have their roots in UC. And i guess another reason why bad company would never go MLG is because of the vehicles. 

EDIT: also CoD and Halo take a different kind of skill. in UT3 you rely on yourself to be good, but in CoD and Halo you rely on good team work. you are right about no skill when it comes to killing but the skill comes into play when you work with your team.

I personally hated UC because i was playing UT2k3 on PC at the time and found it to be a pretty bad port (not saying UC is easy, i just found UT on PC to be much better). When I refer to skill im talking about actual gun play and your own understanding of the game. You are right about the team work aspect of Halo and CoD, but IMO team work based FPS games are rather boring. Again, this is all my opinion, if you like CoD good for you, im just explaining why I and many others do not enjoy it.

yea today i went into a CTF room in COD and the other team had like 5 guys with the same clan tag it made it really hard for me to work i think we lost 5 to 1 i had one cap it was brutal and boring

Of course, Ground War (Domination and TDM) is the only game mode.  Domination is awesome.  When we have 5v5 or 4v4 private matches it's all about HQ.

Just so you know, UC was a straight port from UT2k3 just with a retarded character cla** system and minus many features. IMO the console version was in every way inferior to PC, also PC requires more skill than console 100% of the time so there really was no incentive for me to play UC.

i know UC was a port... plus UC was the first unreal game to come out on the xbox so of course everyone is going to think it was awesome.  UC2 was the worst unreal game ever made in my opinion.
