and the sound is Plmp, well i mean they are best for price, tho i will not lie like pengw1n is right they are easy to break.....ah shlt i sat on them.. crack lol for real happend but not just once oooopppppsss i did it twice.   thats how i got on the long line of testing all the other headphones

Ok, not to split hairs here, but I'll be more clear.  I have the TurtleBeach "PX21" Earforce DSS 7.1 Surround Sound Headset (oops, I thought it was 5.1).  There is no "D" in the nomenclature for this particular set unless the "D" was a designation on the packaging that I missed; indicating digital sound processing.  I'm sitting here looking at it right now.  I'll put up  pic, because I don't see "DPX" on it anywhere.

In any event, I'm looking forward to getting the PX5.

yes the ''DPX21's'' are a combo set that uses the dss adapter,-- that i said--,  the dss adapter can be bought separt as well...  but in any case if you have the px21's and the dss, try them without the dss and tell me if you really hear a difference..   i tryd them for 2 days with the dss and the tru surround and i kept turnin it off because ether it would have delyed sound or i couldnt hear as far...   not trying to argue about all these products just putin in my opinion on all of the ones ive used

New addition to the stable: Turtle Beach PX5.  About to go into Black Ops and listen to 9 year old talk filthy.

Trin - I don't know about the Synology NAS, but I've been using a 1TB Seagate BlackArmour NAS for 2 years with no trouble.  Each user has their own account and then a public account for media, iTunes, Docs, etc.  Even networked TV's can stream the media.

BTW - don't use your PX21 for a second headset with the PX5.  It sends all the chat to the PX21 and game audio to the PX5

I've had that Synology DS410j with four Samsung Spinpoint (1 TB) drives in it for a little over a year. I haven't had any problems with it. The web interface for managing the drive volumes and other features is great. I don't have any complaints about it, though I only use it for storage. I tried streaming video from it to the PS3 a while back and the results weren't that great, but there's been a lot of firmware updates since then and since my laptop is connected to the same TV as the PS3, it doesn't matter to me.

Do you have your Optical cable plugged in your TV or some sort of other Amp/Splitter? When ever I have My Astro Mixamp plugged into my TV is causes a 2 second delay & Downgrades the Audio to Stereo, I fixed the Issue by plugging it directly into the PS3 Smile

Make sure in your Audio settings only.....
Dolby Digital 5.1Ch
PCM 41Khz
PCM 48Khz

Are Selected and "Expander off" from the PX21's
