We were on 360 UT3 at Launch in July 2008. 360 Died faster than PS3 obviously so what was the point in staying and playing on someone's host when PS3 had midway and PC dedicated servers, more and better players, a better version, and mods. We was in CTF 360 when their was actual servers not when Billybob3 started hosting.
It don't matter regardless. Pengwine wont play on 360 so there's no point even talking about it anymore. I would like know what type of cable modem Phantaci uses though?      I heard that Billybob3 dude was a fk'n beast on host on the 360? :)
I have verizon DSL.my net isn't that good and living in california doesn't help.


How you got beserk shock beam all the time then? :) I'll probably just get the top surfboard.

any basic cable modem with DOC 3.0 is good enought as long as you have a good router, and provided you cable co. is sending you net fine.  i said it b4,  i can run 2 laptops streaming video and or music, plus kids watch netflix on wifi in other room while using VOIP on my phone all while playing games and not thing lags out.

well i ran speed tests and i'm only getting 8 to 9 dl and 1 ul. I'm paying for 20 dl 25 dl with boost. I keep having crazy connections. the other day all my weapons were shooting shock beams. Phantaci would love that link gun. :) I have a great netgear router so ima get a new cable modem so i can rule the modem out, and stop paying for their cable modem.

tell them to come out and run a drum test, you could have a bad coax cable from main outside line into your house but.....  and im pretty sure if the test the signal sent to you and that part is good, and the drum test is bad, more than likely what it sound like in your case is a splitter, ive had this problem twice so im sure thats yours.  have you tryd connection to another outlet then run the test would tell you right there, meaning try to get to connect to the most dirrect line into your house then run the speed;  that will tell you if its a mainline or a splitter, cause more than likely they are sending you paid speed to you.

lol why would changing your ip adress do anything to help with your connection laggin?  your ip addresses are private and you can not change your public so you can pretty much set your ip address to any private add you want, but i dont see how that would make you lag or mess up your signal, your either on or not lol

I know Its not a splitter problem. if its not the cable modem then its probably a damaged cable.

What does speedtest.net say? Does it match your local provider speed?

Also, a switch or a splitter cuts your speed. It does divide connections but at the price of a slower connection.

- ALSO, whenever I'm lagging on a server, I try and check my taskmanager for any open download programs like BitTorrent/LimeWire/etc. Which could claim your whole connection.  (Some programs are fired up when even putting your computer on. In that case, turn the Open when starting Windows option in your Download program OFF. 

- Try changing a Dynamic IP adress into a Static one. So that your IP's never change after reboots etc. Besides the speed also helps keeping your network in order.
- Try turning UpNp on in your Network options.
- Try forward ports in your router through DMZ.
- Have you checked if your connection runs smoother with your FIREWALL OFF?

If thats not it, you should have a network engineer coming over to check your wires.

i still dont get why people are talkin about ip addresses, there is nothing you can do to change you public ip address, and dynamic or static private address doesnt matter at all, it all still goes through your NAT and gets change to public address that is set by you ISP not matter what.

Dynamic IP's are a troublemaker imo. I always set it Static so I know the right IP for the right device.

Lol a way to fix the NAT issue is 
- Set your IP private
- Open NAT
- Apply private IP filter and it will treat the IP as public but is not shown. Therefor still making it Private heeey.

LOL at this list, although it's fairly accurate.
Penguin and JKDMAN are definitely the all-time studs of CTF, imo. My only suggestions are that Seifer should be put into the God mode list, dude definitely runs **** when he's playing. Also COLDGAZE, he should be added to the D-list. In fact, he should be the D-list captain...he's clocked more hours into UT3 CTF than anyone in the world, yet he still plays like heinous anus.. /2cents

none of this has anything to do with lag is all i was saying, you can only have 1 assigned public address so thats why i say i doesnt matter what your private address is no matter what, even with your NAT open it doesnt stop a packet header from being changed by the NAT, this will always happen and does nothing to help with lag or speed. network addressing is subject to ISP dhcp servers and you will have whatever address they give you a lease for, if you use your internet all the time that address will remain less its not used for a certain amount of time, then its released and the DORA process starts again when you go to access the internet.
