Yeah, and that's not Kansas in the Sweet 16, now is it?  However, I'm glad that Missouri won the first round and I hope they make the Sweet 16 as well, but I have my doubts.  Missouri seems more like a Football college than Basketball, but we'll see.

I am really shocked by Kansas losing. I don't know a whole lot about them, but looking at the box score, they don't look very deep on the bench. Only 8 players hit the floor.

You know you have an elite program when even though you are winning, it ain't good enough. 16-14 for many schools is total success. Schools like UNC are to college hoops what the Yankees are to baseball. Even if you don't like them, you have to admit the game itself is better when they win.
I liked Roy Williams even before he coached Kansas against SU in the championship game. His post-game interview made me like him even more. Stand-up guy.

I hear that...Every team is bound too have an off year  & this one was UNC's i guess...It's been an exciting first couple rounds of the tourney so far!  Some GREAT games on the opening day of it...I'm happy too hear Kansas & Villanova got knocked out...Since my beloved Tarheels arent in this tourney i picked the youth of the Kentucky Wildcats too cut down the nets.

WOW! this is one of the best tourneys Ive ever watchesd ... my bracket is totally busted with kansas out ... Poor free throw shooting and pi$$ poor offensive glass work!

Big ups to my persian brother ali farrokhmanesh! what a clutch 3!

Cokk i have to slightly eat my words, this tourney is so unbelievably unpredictable

But i still stand by my assessment of the big east simply because going into the tourney thy were so hyped and they did not deliver!

as far as I see it ...its duke and kentuckys to lose ... kentucky is young and Duke has momentum

I hate DUKE so ill  be pulling for the badgers to upset kentucky. anything can happen in this tourney!!

Butler will beat Syracuse in the sweet 16.

You predicted it right.  63-59, Butler's going to the Elite Eight.  Syracuse is the second #1 seed to fall.

Syracuse once again has torn my heart out. Not completely though, as I am used to seeing this happen with them. Boeheim is a great coach, but he never has disciplined teams. One of two things seems to always catch up with 'Cuse, poor shot selection or turnovers. Tonight it was both and Butler used it to nail their coffin shut. Good job Butler, you earned that win.
BTW, is anyone else as impressed with Butler's coach as I am? He had the stones to put 4 guards out there against Syracuse and it totally paid off. They had Rautins rattled throughout the game. You will see Butler's coach mentioned for the next big opening. AND, he's only 33. Props to Butler. Well coached, good gameplan and they played with heart.

I'm impressed with Butler overall...I was thinkin before this game started that Butler should put 3 or 4 gaurds in the game against Syracuse since they lost their big man too an injury..They attacked the zone very well with spacing, passin & the ability too knock down shots..It's been a great tourney so far!

I was impressed w Butler all season. Sure theyre a mid major, but when you go undefeated in ANY conference thats pretty damn impressive.

they  also dismantlled UTEP in the second half in the first round, a team that out sized the meaningfully.

I picked them to beat Syracuse but I doubt they get past k-state

What do you guys think of Tennessee vs Ohio St. I picked Tennessee (they beat Kentucky)

but Im not feeling good about that pick.

Im really looking forward to watching MSU vs kansa killers No Iowa

Damn it!  Purdue lost, so there's two #1's in the Elite Eight and surely, Final Four.  Then again, West Virginia and Baylor are not teams to underestimate, so maybe my dream of seeing another #1less Final Four is still possible, even if my two Indiana teams one is not.  I hope Butler at least beats Kansas State, though I'm uncertain after that.  I was hoping that Ohio State would win because.. well.. look at Butler's past games..  Who did they beat earlier in the season?  Ohio State.  Maybe, history could of repeated itself and Butler could of made it to the title game, though I still would of had my doubts.

Honestly though, I'm just glad Butler made an Elite Eight.  They deserve it, but they deserve a Final Four more.  I don't know if it's just me, but I have a feeling that Butler's been more consistent in the past years than their fellow Indiana teams.  Shouldn't they get something the other, bigger Indiana schools have at least one of? (Well, I'm sure Purdue's made the Final Four before, as has Notre Dame and IU's won National Championships in the past.)  Hell, even ISU made a title game/ final four years ago. (80's)  I found about it when I looked up the past winners, losers, and final four teams.

Edit: It was in 1979 and it was actually against Michigan State, not Ohio State like I thought, but yeah.. they even made it to the title game and lost.

HOLY ****!!  We're in the Final Four!  I didn't catch most of that game, but the ending was insane.  I don't know how many times I held my breath, thinking they're going to tie, they're going to take the lead. (I'm referring to Kansas State btw..)  I guess should of kept on believing even when Kansas State took the lead, then re-tied it when Butler took the lead back.  Kansas did get kind of sloppy at the end, but I can't blame them.  They just survived Xavier in Double OT.  Honestly, if Butler had faced them a few days later, things might of been different.

Yeah, I'm hoping for Baylor and Michigan State to win.  I don't necessarily think they'll make the National Championship, but I'm definitely pulling for Butler in Final Four.  Even if they don't, I'm sure their next game is going to be good as well.

Also, I haven't checked the article recently, but I love how the K-State fans (from what I seen) didn't sound all butthurt, unlike several of the Syracuse fans.  One said that they're boring and hoped that they got smashed in the next game, whoever played them.  I don't know about every other Butler game, but the conclusion of the K-State/ Butler game was awesome.  The fact that Butler didn't crack when K-State brought the pressure shows that they're not just lucky.

I'm hoping that at least West Virginia wins it all.  I'd rather see them win than Duke, if Butler can't.  Then again, I'm not totally against Michigan State either.  Honestly, I want Butler to win it, but pretty much anyone who isn't named Duke is okay in my book.

Ugh.. if only one of those two final misses made it.  If the first did, then Duke would of had 3.6 seconds to do something, if the latter somehow hit, it would of been an epic ending to a great game.  Damn.. I really thought Duke was going to get away when they got that six point and later five point lead, but Butler didn't let them steam roll them like most mid-major teams.  I sure hope they're reconsidering the 96-team field idea after this tourney.
