neither side of this argument will ever win, its a battle of personal opinion, but i mean werent all u guys saying "ya tolreance and respect..." a few pages ago, yet here you sit doing nothing but insulting and degrading the other guys beliefs because u see things differently. im sure whether u believe in your own inner strength or the word of your personal god, what ur doin by hatin on each other like this goes against those beliefs.

So how is religion still expanding its horizons?
idk exact timing or anything, but a book thats last been updated over 1000 years ago isn't very active in widening its own horizons - and even if God were trying to expand it - these days christians and atheist alike will call our new messenger schizofrenic as soon as he says God spoke to him.

if you see religion more as a spiritual horizon, wouldn't you have to try out all 100s of religions humans around the globe have ever worshipped, while at the same time betraying all those that tell you not to worship other Gods?
except for spiritually, science has so many fields and is still creating new ones

btw i dont hate religion, and i never said religion is primitive,
although some things seem outdated, like the place of slaves in current society (well might be a bad example idk.. i never actually read it yet myself, although i planned to)

E=mc² helps explain how an atomic bomb works, but it wasn't created for such a purpose at all
(actually after reading into the place of that formula in the development of the atomic bomb a bit i see this is a bad example but meh)

Of course we wouldn't mind, I was just pointing out that you shouldn't take everything, our luxurous life for granted, if it weren't for scientists everywhere, we still wouldn't become much older than 50 years old, people would die from infections everywhere, hell where would humanity be ? And to se sizzle posting such bs about scientists, that they are in general "clowns" ?

By valuing science I am not devaluing christianity because they are not contradictory imo. But atheists cannot, they're belief is somewhat blinkered or one directional.

The lessons taught by Jesus give you ideas on how to life righteously. As you may know, ideas are limited only by the mind of the individual, not necessarily limited by time. Christianity is expansive, it is some 600 years older than Islam making it the oldest global religion. Yet it has more worshippers than at any point in its history.

So anyway if there is no God then there is no real reason for any of us to observe morality and laws made by men for men. As a consequence of our actions we either die now or get old and die. Life can't be sacred or precious or have no real purpose (we die and disappear never to be seen again right?). If this is how the universe is then
