Wow, an actual question. Ok try this:

- Ping your router: Start - Execute - type in "cmd" which brings up a black box. type in:
ipconfig /all

A list with information should appear below.
Search for your gateway (which is your router) and note the IP

Redo the command propt/black box and type in the following:

ping **ROUTER IP** < fill in your router IP.
Most likely this is 192.168.1.1, so ping that IP and watch the following things:

If you get a Reply from your router, that means he is up so you do have an active network connection. If its slow, watch in the same line the MS. Normal DSL router speeds go around 10 until 80MS max. If its slow, you should run about 500MS to an incredible 4000MS if your router is really fked up. < if thats the case, replace your Networkcable. If that doesnt work, consider buying yourself a new router.

If all above does not work, try calling your local internet provider for assistance.
They can watch traffic through their gateways to your IP and switches to see in which hop it goes wrong.

PC Specs:

Intel i5-4960K 3.4GHz
Crucial Sport 16GB 1866 RAM
GeForce GTX970 4GB VRAM
Antec 1100 Tower Case
NZXT Sleeved Blue LED Kit 1M
2x 2TB Seagate HDD
2x 256GB Samsung SSD

^lmao u cruel fker! First off it could be literally anything but its a laptop so wireless? If so connect via ethernet and see if ur connection is still slow. Most likely,

  • (wireless) signal drop off due to shared access - lots of devices connected to network, are you or anyone on network DL using bitorrent client? OR watching movies online?
  • unsecured connection
  • IP address issues
  • ISP carrying out maintenance/repair in your area
  • exceeded fair usage so ISP choaked connection
  • P/C needs maintenance - delete temp internat files, defrag m/c etc
  • HDD is full
  • Installed software is hogging your memory - restrict the amount of activities on PC
  • Virus/trojan/backdoor program

Like i said it could b lots of things...not even sure if ive mentioned everything

Cos I'm Wonderman...I'll take that knife and shove it up your a$$!
