just like every local news channel in the u s of a they ask people who look dumb as hell to interview, those videos were pretty funny but not really valid, on either side. but in that 1st british video they had teenagers who should've known their ****, I know if I had taken a survey question(s) from them I would've went fuggin ham & destroyed them mentally. And another thing, America ****s on England population wise by more than 200,000,000 people, odds are you're going to find more rotten apples on a tree of 100 than on a tree of 25 apples.

Actually a thing which is often negleted when watching these "idiot" videos, is the effect of the natural stress reaction, that most of us have when a tv-camera and mic is shoved on our faces on our Sunday walk.
 
And of course these videos would be dull as hell if they'd just show 100 answers from random Mensa members met on the streets LOL
 
I k n o w that these videos are just for fun, but I have to state that
what comes to americans, every one I have met are wonderful, kind & intelligent ppl. In aeroplanes etc. it's always nice to sit beside an american, because they are very often very open and make good conversations.
 
Europeans too often has this notion that those yanks are somehow more simple than us and we here in old world are just sipping our fine teas reading Tolstoi books in latin - well c'mon LOL
 
For dispelling prejudice, I would highly recommend to listen for example The Diane Rehm show or other american show, where people  across usa are interviewed &  are calling in.
It's really enlightening to hear ordinary folks & also authorities opinions and concerns about usa's politics, environlmental issues, health care & every day matters.
 
And yes, for every nation there is a stereotype - and they're quite funny Big smile
