The Grudge and Reflection are my two favorite Tool songs, and Tool is the best band ever assembled.

Right in Two is an amazing song, but sounds better if you play Intension first.    That right in two video you posted is full of lyrical errors.    Also, if you haven't seen or heard of it, youtube Fibonacci sequence in Lateralus, the video doesn't show all the Fibonacci based parts, but is a good start.

Well yeah! One problem though, Tool is not like every other band. Every instrument has it's own part, like some bands the bass guitar and or drums are just filler to get to the next chorus, as with Tool, you take anyone away, it's not the same song. Basically what I mean is the bassist has more than a 10% role in the band, a tru 25%, even sometimes more. So when I play Vicarious, or Schism, my friends say it doesn't sound the same! Well yeah, I'm missing abou 3 people and 10 times the talent. ;)

yeah i figured something like that would be a problem, should still be fun to play though
i know f*** all of music theory still, but from what i read Tool's got non-standard buildups etc, so would seem fun to play

edit:
what does Maynard mean by Saturn in The Grudge

I've read it has to do with the greek god Saturn, the planet, or a Jewish religious symbolism. Quabala? I personally believe has to do with alchemy, like when he says 'lead into gold'. But I believe that's the beauty of Tool, 20 different people can have 40 different interpretations and be right every time. Maynard has always said he sometimes left things vague and open to interpretations.

These videos trip me the f*** out.  Gotta love Tool.  I used to have a Tool t-shirt that said tool on the front and on the back there was a tool in the shape of a penis and a pair of nuts.
