Epic & Midway
When midway nabbed the publishing rights for three new unreal titles, the company was relatively stable and trying to make inroads into the PC market, unfortunately, only two titles- Unreal championship 2: Liandri Conflict and Unreal Tournament 3 ( along with a compilation, unreal anthology)- were put out by midway before the company went under.
what are your thoughts on this

Epic went under? Honestly, I think you got that wrong. Epic also makes their money off of Gears of War, another game or two, and possibly from leasing it's engine to other developers. Sure, that third title might take awhile or at least won't be published by Midway, but Epic's still okay.

well this is what was sent to me in my e-mail and then a few hours later i checked the mail and it was in my gme informer so yeah your probably right Epic is still up but midway is probably done

Aren't they kind of late about the whole Midway going under thing though? That happened a few months ago. I can't remember what happened to them, but I thought they got bought out, like Free Radical did? (by Crytek)

MidWAY only had the distribution right for Epic.
Epic was the studio but the right to sell what epic created went to Midway.
Midway did go under but thats ancient news ... 1 year approx.
Think of it this way: Kraft foods sells food through Grocery stores. if a grocery store goes under Kraft just has to find a new grocery store.
Its an oversimplification but that was the extent of the relationship.
Epic is still around. Midway is bust and has been for a while

Technically Midway is still around. They were bought out by Warner Bros. Interactive about a year ago. Midway still has their development studio in Seattle working on the next Mortal Kombat. As far as I know at least.

well they probably got it to me late then but still the date i got it was 5/6/2010 it said midway % epic update then it said all that stuff but i deleted it after i read it then posted it here. anyway ok i didn't know it went under a while back
