yeah the more tecnological they get the more easier it is to break or damage. The one i have is like my 4th 1 in 1 year so i'm trying to take care of it the best i can

i bought my ps3 around the same time i bought a 360 in 2006 . like i said before it was still my first ps3R.I.P.
 but it's now my 7th 360 in 4years , that's why i don't play often the 360 anymore

slim version has less chance of getting the YLOD than the fat one, plus it doesnt heat up as fast as the other one, trust me i have both

????jake, didn't you buy a new one and then get YLOD virtually straight away? Old ones are made a lot better and have better components, in fact the new ones were released so that sony didn't have to make old ones any ore because they were made from more expensive parts and it cost them more

Get Slim. Less power consumption and older models are more susceptible to YLOD.

Go old, all the new versions run funny. Every 20 or 60G model i ever seen run great, but my living room ps3(40G) and my roommates ps3(120G) run, ...well, funny.
