Heroes of Newerth

Heroes of Newerth or HoN for short is a multiplayer strategy game for PC that mixes RTS and RPG elements. The game is based off of DotA where you control a hero of your choice in a 5v5 contest to destroy eachothers base. The game is VERY strategy and teamwork intensive and has a pretty steep learning curve. Easily the most fun multiplayer game i have played in quite a while. It is currently in a closed beta, however i can get extra beta keys if anyone is interested. Also, i would be more than willing to teach anyone the mechanics of the game and bring them up to speed on how to play.

League of Legends is trash compared to this game. HoN is far more polished and smooth gameplay with entirely dedicated servers and a huge community. You are dead on about the teamwork though, its the core of the gameplay. Vent helps quite a bit though and its incredibly fun to play with friends.

I remember playing DOTA on Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. Who would have that user created content would actually become a real game in itself.

sounds good man, the game is infinitely more enjoyable once you get the hang of the characters and learn how the items work. there are quite a few guides for every hero on the beta site as well that you could look into once you find a character that you like.

haha he was joking, he is awful at FPS so whatever makes him feel better. Im just kinda taking a break from shooters for now, after 15+ years of nearly exclusive FPS its starting to get old.
