fn ridiculousn modern technology... your lucky if your PS3 can last more than 2 years...
my PS2 still runs just as good as it did when i purchased it (8yrs ago)
i just don't get it.. it's like the electronics made today are designed to crap out...

well im lucky that mine will get fixed 4 free (well thats what there telling me now) BUT ps2 and older systems didnt have online gameplay like the ps3 or 360 nor did they have many of the other features so im guessing that has a big part but i say and hardware problems like the YLOD or the red ring should have ulimmeted warrenty

well, mine broken last year in december 12th 2008, the blue ray reader broken, so, i got warranty, but sony changed mine for one new, but they sended me in frebruary 2009. now, i don't have any problem with the ps3, damn. so, i got a year more for waranty, this february finish the waranty, so i need to broke the blue ray disc for they changed the ps3 again before that date, glup, hehehe.
your waranty is over?

I had the YLOD on my 60gig twice and fixed it myself twice. When she went t1ts-up again, I went and bought the bundle with LBP and Ratchet and Clank. After having my new 120g for two weeks, the Blu-Tooth devices weren't being recognized. I took it back for an exchange @BestBuy and they told me I had to return the games that were in the bundle too. Long story short, I stood at the customer service desk for an hour and a half arguing with them about their bullsh1t policy. Eventually, I left with a new PS3 and kept the games.
Frankly, I think the quality of Sony products has gone down the crapper as of late.
