CTF - Camp the flag?

hmmm 4v4 its simple, maybe 1 defender, 2 mid and 1 running.

8v8 you get 1-0 up on omicron and you have 7 defenders and 1 mid. Its the same whether you have the v before the (v)ctf in pubs.

But clan matches and competitive games the teams keep pushing. Thats the difference IMO. More clan matches are won 4-0, 5-0 or 5-1 compared to public games. And the most common pub result in flag modes is 1-0 or max flags to 0.

imo.........defending is where you are constantly moving and keeping the enemy in the base once
he has the flag, CAMPing is where u hide in corners and as soon as you see a translocator in the air
you throw a bio or a flack ball at the flag. then as soon as you kill the person u move to another
corner and do it all over again. i understand if u do it once in awhile, cuz sometimes it is needed
but doing it every minute of every game is just dumb. also camping also deals with team camping.
if you have 8 ppl on a team, and 6 R defending. its just dumb. and what makes even less sense
is when a team is down by a flag or 2 and 6 R still wanting to play defense. YOUR TEAM IS FU**ING

So right! Its crazy when a team goes 1-0 and they still sit on the flag!

Camping is when the other team is playing defense. Playing defense is when your team is camping.

^^^ ye i agree , when i played with carlanga when he joined mega for a little while, me and him just stayed back and let the rest of the team run mid and offense. he covered the left map and lower map and i covered the right and top . We won that match against A-R 3-1. not because we camped, but because we talked and gave ourselves a large space to work with and translocate to. You have to spam a rocket here and there on some maps , cuz translocation is too fast and sometimes using ammo and shooting into empty pathways is needed, just dont do it on the flag thats b**** made. :)

do newbs/unskilled players actually get a lot of points camping the flag?  They may *think* it works that way but I'm not sure.  The pubs scores I notice still tend to have all the regulars here > than the randoms.  Playing stationary defense is a sure way to get run over or blown by someone moving fast, and the goo you can just shoot away right...
