I'm loving COD at the moment, so many people playing... some games I'm getting 13 kills and dying 3 times... others its reversed ha...
Levelling up is fun, wish they did that in ut3.

I agree...This game is sick! I'm one of those ppl who has it reversed...1st Domination i played i went 4 kills & 14 deaths...I Know, Impressive! Gonna take a little bit of time too get used too these weapons since i havent played any of the previous COD games..Patch 1.02 dropped an hour or so ago & another patch will be out by Friday too fix Trophies & Party System. |

There was a problem with party invites last night. If you compared 2 or 3 things that you really wanted in UT3 and on COD i'd say it would be...
Muting players
Numbers of COD players
Clan support
v
Server layout on ut3
Easy to follow people
I think COD is a much better game all round, its harder and more intense but I will always love ut3.
Seriously tho... if you have played cod and get the notification after you have acheived something... its just like you have had sex when that music comes on...

MW2 Party Invite HeadHunter sorted a work around for this. 1. What you hsve to do is invite the people you want to party2. The people who recieve invite have to sign out and then back in while still in the game. Use your Triangle button to signout on ps screen while still in game.
3. When you come back online and are still ingame you accept the invite. You can now game with your buddies.
Note: when you do this everybody in the party except the leader will show as offline.

Apparently this friday they will release a Patch that fixes the Party Invite Issue :)
Intel then use my Workaround :D

Anyone know wtf is wrong with online play? I played a few games, went to do some campaign then tried to go back online but it doesn't let me.
Just says it's updating ranks etc for ever... Same is happening to crister too. edit: there's a new update (ver 1.02), maybe that's fixed something. apaprently there's a patch to fix inviting issues by friday... |

It is harder. UT3 you can stack up to 199 health and 200 armour on some levels giving you a 4x advantage over someone else.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying ut3 sucks, I'm one of its biggest fans but really its not much compared to cod.

Pubs are harder. Why? Because the game is easier and the 90% of the players which are noobs do better by getting lucky and camping. You want a godlike? camp like the rest. It doesn't really matter though if you have fun playing. |

Same could be argued for ut3... any noob can find a decent place to stand and spam rockets...
I'm talking from a personal experience anyway, my opinion isn't up for debate. Maybe I should have said that I find it harder because its so easy to die on it.
Anyway 800,000 people definately > 80 people no matter how many rocket launchers you have.

The health stacking is one of the reasons why it takes more skill: The rocektspam noobs might get lucky and hit 1 rocket in your back, but rockets are slow and dodge-able (especially on Eu host), and the only reason you have map control is because you're playing smarter.
The first time I played UT3 coming from game I noticed this game is easier because it's harder; It's harder in matches between skilled player because there's an actaul skill gap. |

Campers get killed easy though, you have to dominate your area of the map. Just staying still won't get you far.
I don't know its hard to explain on here, ut3's learning curve is huge but sometimes even a nooby team can pull off a suprise... I'd say a nooby team will get ****d on cod.
Yeah I do enjoy playing both... ATM (not a$$ to mouth cokkenballs) I am playing ut3, fat princess (lots of fun), cod and UC2.....
I play ut3 the least because of people like QuickRC... the last thing I want is to be playing and hearing someone saying 'no don't come in mum, i'm naked' or 'i've just spilt gravy down me' and about 30 seconds later he is calling me a retard.
Also ut3 is getting a serious amount of idle players and you can't mute people. So hope that kinda justifies why I think cod is better, basically because you can mute all the f**s. Along with the awesome graphics, ranking up challenges, awards and unlockable items... I love the gameplay, its so good to see how you died from someone else's POV...

One of the worst guys I know got a 42 kill streak in a small map, camping 1 spot most of the time. A 'good' camper will not die easy, it's his 'press fire' vs your 'aim + press fire', which takes longer, so unless he sucks he'll win.
Results are all that matter, if they beat you on the ladders - oh wait - they weren't as bad after all? Or you just had a bad day, everyone has em.
Well I'm not trying to tell you UT3's a better game (it is though!11!! :P) but competitive wise it has/had a lot more potential. |

Potential means nothing anymore... ut3 has no new players coming through.
Hardly any clan matches get played either.
Do you ever play cod? Not being a d1ck when I ask I just want to know in general... I've never been into the series before now but it seriously is breathtaking.

Yeah I played COD MW before but only a few times. I didn't really like it that much... this one just feels a lot better. Way more enjoyable, just a shame its not working online at the moment. |
