Borderlands

At the beginning of the game you get to pick one of the 4 cla**es, which mean which starting weapons you'll have and which skill tree. Next to that each cla** has their specific power to active with a press of the button and a cooldown. - Also there will be cla** specific powerups later on in the game.

You and most of the moving stuff around you you can shoot have levels, and you're really gonna get in trouble facing something 5 levels higher than you (Appearantly the level cap is at 50 atm).
The loot and guns you find on your travels get worth more as you go along and get stronger and rarer.

From what I've seen so far you're not really required to have people of different cla**es in your party although the healing one is pretty usefull. Also if you're a Berserker you're pretty much guaranteed to not lose a duel.

Well it really just comes down to pressing L2 and then jumping around a bit melee'n eachother

i got a level 34 soldier right now, and im looking forward to getting him to level 50 so i can start dueling, theres an achievement for winning 100 duels and i want it :)

 

yea dueling locks you into a small area so berserkers probably beast it but my soldier is f***ing ridiculously powerful and i have a build idea that should dominate pvp.

 

plus theres an open pvp arena in fyrestone where most people should duel

 

the game is like diablo LITE as far as rpg elements.

 

what i like is the fact not only do they let you level to 50 and have skill trees is that they have the added weapon proficiency. my rifle proficiency is like around level 17 i think

yea it should be intresting, i know the berserker cla** is the pvp fav but ive played plenty of games where i created characters that beat on the favorite pvp cla**es, we will just have to wait and see, i have mods where with a shotgun if i crit i can do like 3k damage

the game wasnt made to be an incredibly story, im happy they focused on one thing and instead of making a half a** game. honestly i play the game with music on my comp going and the sound effects up, so the only thing i really hear in the game is the gunshots. other then that i could careless about the story its a game based on loot-collecting and leveling. it wasnt made to compete with fallout or kotor for story or dialogue.

I haven't lost any skill points. None of my save files were corrupted. And I don't recall anybody else with the ps3 version of this game complaining about those issues x.X

I enjoy playing this game so far in the week i've had it but the one problem i can see at this point is it can get a bit repetitive.  For every mission i do i keep just going into the same areas over and over again.  Also it seem to take forever to level up, i'm lvl 15.

it seems slower going once you get past level 20. me and ric0 must have played coop together for about 4 or 5 hrs yesterday yet we only went from level 24 to 26/27..

be sure to do the New Haven 5 chests run repeatedly.  Got me an alien gun last night, and upgraded most of my guns doing it about 8 times in a row.  plus made about $700,000 in sales that night

Thanks for the free XP on Saturday - Deadaim and Hellscream.  I did jack sh1t and got like 3000 XP for every one of your kills!!!  Fastest 7 level-ups ever!!!!  Just beat the game last night, ready for round 2 playthrough.
