The Ps3 version contains less skill because
-The best players never had incentive to keep on getting better, although the iAMgaming tourneys are a start. (I'm talking prizes/prize money)
-It's way slower, which means you have more time to think and react to people's actions
-Ps3 players don't play as smart as top PC players
-The hitboxes can really easy it up on some maps - Where dm-1on1-penetrated is really flak only on Ps3 because it's so damn easy to kill with it DM-Penetrated on PC requires more weapons, and flak doesn't hit that easy by far making you work more for your kill.
-PC players have mods to make modes even more competitive and require more skill (UTComp for example enables armorstacking: You can pick up an armor vest or belt even if it's not damaged yet, although it doesn't add to the maximum health. You use this solely to let the other guy not have it, and it enables a more map control)

I've got both consoles and it's not that hard for me to tell a difference.
I usually play with someone there who would be around the lowest places in the ladders in the 2nd duel league of europe only: 1st league is best, 2nd is after that and 3rd is lowest.
He plays smarter/better than me currently, but even once I beat him I'll still be nowhere near good really.
In duel anyway, you have to be smart to win.


I don't mean to say we're all ****, I just mean to say we're not much above decent in PC standards (ignoring the differences between the consoles)

The difference with a defender of a belt and an orb is that one of them only has to survive and can just focus on living. The dueller will obviously try to get another kill, the orb carrier depending on what he's doing can run using boots, can hide behind a corner and spam something back etc.
Obviously if it's just on an open field you're screwed by the fact that your team is too retarded to protect the carrier or kill enemies on their way.
Someone who got at a belt too early will have to consider risk vs reward; that belt will definitely help you, but it's not worth dying for it often. As long as you have the timing you can get the next one anyway.


imo I'm not top 5 just yet, I believe all top 5 duellers are currently american.

Ahh.. screw this.. when I get a Wii LAN Adapter, anyone want to take me on in Wii Sports - Baseball?  I'm a beast at pitching.  I throw consistently over 90 MPH and will strike you before you can say STRIKEOUT.

i never disrespected anyone, just said the mode sucks and there is to much nonsense running around for stupid power ups and health. that is silly imo, no need for that bs in an online game. imo they should be non stop action, not playing pac-man then go for kill. the mode is just fn silly, but i recommend everyone to get good at it. its just to bad they play this f***ing mode with all the stupid **** like shield belts and health. no need for silly running around nabbing power ups hopping around with jump boots to help with routines grabbing other power ups just to over power a 100 health, low ammo, 1-2 weapon welding helpless frag. that **** is so weak..,.

pac-man died out in the early 80's my friend, they tried the comeback with Mrs. Pac-Man in the early 90's. but lasted until 16 bit graffics came out. i dont see how camping a power pellet until the ghosts get close, gobbling them up and running to the next power pellet is cosidered skill. i think dodging and losing them in the maze is more skillful than that.
