As I said, I don't have anything to properly compare it with as the vehicle balance powerups better out.
But vCTF/WAR players disputing the 'gentleman's code' for duel is like me disputing something trivial about vCTF.. I am nowhere to judge as I'm not competitive in that mode.

No, glitching cannot be excused because the makers, Epic, did not intentionally put them in the game.  But they DID put weapons and power ups in the game.

No it is not an exact analogy. WHAT you do with the tank, is not the same thing as saying it CAN'T be used at all.  In the case of duel no one is saying what you can and cannot do with the udamage, beserk, etc. once you have it... They are saying it can't be used AT ALL.

But you can still USE the tank right?  Placing it on the flag is merely a tactic, a tactic I might add that is not universally frowned upon.  Some players would never do it but some players will.  Same goes for titan, you can still go titan in a match, no one says it's not allowed.  Spawn killing while a titan is just another tactic that some will do and some won't.

It's in the game for a reason right.
Same for going titan in the spawns on some maps, why else is it in the game? :/

I don't think anyone is "trying to change the rules in dueling", in fact a couple of people have gone out of their way (myself included) to say that they would abide by the unwritten rule of no berzerk, udamage, etc .  It just seems strange that in one mode and one mode only, you can't use what the game gave you.

All you get to see is that whoever gets the udamage is likely to steal all map control back and get a few frags in 30 seconds, then the other guy takes back map control at the next udamage..

The only reason they're still on the maps in duel is that UTComp has never been cooked for Ps3 in any form.
It's surprising that epic wouldn't have built the option into the game, they must know that the duelers don't use them.
