And.. from the looks of it, Minnesota is almost guarnateed to go 5-0, as they'll face the ever so crappy Rams.  Indy, on the other hand, just might fall to Tennessee.  Then again, they haven't been the team everybody thought they'd be, so who knows.  Also, be kind of biased, I'm probably still going to pick the Colts, should I make any picks (besides Minnesota (which should be a given)) this week.

A good system would be to pick winners and a**ign a point from 1-15 (number of games)
So you would a**ign the most points (15) to the game/pick you have the highest conviction and 1 to the game you think could go either way.

You add up all the points for the games you pick correctly ... most points wins!

i got so pissed because the Off-Line can't protect Rodgers.  you have to admit, he can handle pressure.  between stupid penalties, a lack of protection, and no running game again, the score shouldn't have been so close...and you know it.

I'll get to my picks sometime tomorrow or whenever I can get on long enough to do so.  Seeing as 6-8:30PM/ 10PM-1AMseems to be the best time to work on my school work (with as little interruptions as possible), I'll be getting to that real shortly.

Oh, and fun fact that I just found..

Originally posted by http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-rams-ownership&prov=ap&type=lgns

Los Angeles is still without a team, and a loophole in the Rams’ lease allows them to move as early as 2014 if the Edward Jones Dome is not deemed among the top quarter of all NFL stadiums. Though just 14 years old, the dome is fast becoming one of the league’s older venues, and getting it into the top quarter seems unlikely.

Ugh, if nothing happens in 2012 (and I'm sure nothing will), I could be seeing my Rams going to California, or worse yet, my home state losing it's generally better team. (though the Chiefs had been better in recent years, seeing as the Rams are 5-31 since 2007 and now have the NFL's longest current losing streak..  OUCH!) Ouch

First of all, before I announce my picks, here's another discussion starter: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ys-forbestailgate100809&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

So, do you agree with the choices or not?  I personally can't understand how Houston's even on there, let one #1.

Baltimore vs Cincinnati - Will Baltimore's first loss lead to a two game-skid, which will give the lead of the NFC North to Cincy?  My response is no.  Sure, they've beaten a kind of good Green Bay team and a questionable Pittsburgh team*1, but I don't think they've met a real team yet, besides maybe Denver.  Now Baltimore, they came off a close loss to one of the usual top dawg teams, New England. (as much as I hate to say that)  Baltimore also struggled with San Diego a bit, but they also stomped all over a Browns team that Cincy struggled against.  Honestly, I think Cincy's actually got the odds stacked against them going 3-2 this week.  Baltimore's doing good and I think they're going to keep it that way, or at least be contenders for their division, like they usually are.  Baltimore > Cincinnati

*= (I mean, look at them, they don't even look like they were SB Champs last year, let alone contenders, but I guess the same could be said about the Cards, who lost James, to add insult to injury.)

Buffalo vs Cleveland - You know what?  I think Cleveland's finally going to get a W.  You know why?  Well, look at Buffalo.  Besides that narrow defeat against New England, they've been stomped all over by NO and Miami.  Oh, and their only win was against one of NFC's worst teams atm.  I mean, come on.. even the team that finally lost to the would-be losing streak record holders beat the that team.  The only thing credible I see in Buffalo is the New England game.  Other than that, this looks like a crap team vs. another crap team.  Well, a crap team that has an overall break-even, when it comes to who they faced.  What's the overall record of Cleveland's first four opponents?  14-2!  14 AND 2!  Now, I'm not saying that mean's they're just a mediocre team who had the misfortune of facing some of the leagues top teams, but even so, most of their opponents were out of their league.  Buffalo is much closer to their level.  I'm going to try my hand at the winless team beating the "1 and" team and pick Cleveland as the next winless team to win.

Cleveland > Buffalo

Carolina > Washington - I'm sorry, but even though they're not doing too good this year, I feel that Carolina is at least better off than Tampa.  This week, Washington's luck is going to run out again and they're going to lose to another winless team.  This time though, it'll be one that is probably better than Detroit.

Detroit vs. Pittsburgh - What has happened to them?  Besides San Diego, Pittsburgh's only win is a close game against a team that's still winless, despite how good people thought they'd be.  This does not sound like a Super Bowl champ's next season, but it happens and honestly, maybe this will be the week it starts to turn around.

Pittsburgh > Detroit

Kansas City Chiefs > Dallas
-  Sure, they've had their share of up's and downs, but after hearing about their loss in Denver and seeing the Giants get more of a fight than I thought they would receive, I honestly think the Chiefs just might be the Cowboys third loss.  Also, who says the Native Americans (Chiefs) can't beat the people wrangling the west (Cowboys)?  Just look at Little Bighorn!

Minnesota > St. Louis
- Because my Rams sure aren't going to stop their winlessness against some Vikings. Ouch

New England > Denver
- This is going to be another case like Baltimore.  They're good, but when the real good comp. comes into town, they'll fall to.  As far as we know it, the Jets might of just gotten lucky, but who knows.

Jacksonville > Seattle - Both these teams lost to my Colts.  However, which one can say they almost beat my Colts at their own house.  Also, coming off the two straight wins over division rivals, I don't think Seattle's going to have what it takes to stop them, especially without their QB, or is he still injured?

NY Jets > Dolphins
- I do believe that the Dolphins are underrated, but I don't think they're going to make this a three way battle this year.  I say the Jets are going to win.

Indy > Tennessee
- Ironically, this could very well be the first team to beat my Colts, but at the same time, I don't think it'll happen.  The Titans are surely to bring it, but I don't think it'll be enough to stop Manning and the Colts from going 5-0.  Additionally, if the Titans lose this one to, I don't see them making the playoff this year.  Hell, even if they win, they got the odds stacked heavily against them.

Other picks:

NY Giants > Oakland
Philadelphia > Tampa Bay
Atlanta > San Fran.
Houston > Arizona

The Browns winning should not be a suprise. They have a lot of talent. Buffalo is the third worst team in the NFL. Only Oakland and Tampa are worse.

They didn't necessarily do that (22-3), but they did leap frog to #2.  Also, I see that Missouri fell back off and Notre Dame's back in the top 25.  Oh, and I'm 7-5 or something like that, so far in the NFL picks, but at least the two of the three winless teams I picked to win won. (Cleveland and Carolina)  I knew they were bad, but not that bad.

However, 6-3?  Wow.. just wow..  I think it's been awhile since I've seen a NFL game with that little points on the board.

Ole Miss was never in that game although their defense did good. Bama and Florida are way ahead of everyone else. 22-3 in the SEC and on the road is a dominant win.

I have to agree. I watched a lot of this game and Bama was never in danger of losing control.

lol w/e SEC is good defense ill give them that. but guess what, does all that even matter? they both have to play in the SEC finals if they win out, which leaves one out of the national title game. texas wins its next three games, we will see the SEC champ in the title game. but man im really not impressed at all with the offense ive seen out the SEC. looking good from where im looking =]

You know what?  I'm think I'm just going quit trying to explain why I picked who I picked from now on, seeing how I was off several times last week. (8-6)  I mean, I still had a winning record, but man.. 8-6 sucks.. (19-9 overall?)

So, without further adieu, week 6..

Kansas City > Washington
Cincinnati > Houston
Carolina > Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh > Cleveland
New Orleans > NY Giants
Baltimore > Minnesota
Jacksonville > St. Louis
Detroit > Green Bay
Seattle > Arizona
Philadelphia > Oakland
NY Jets > Buffalo
New England > Tennessee
Atlanta > Chicago
Denver > San Diego

Edit: Apparently, copying and pasting from a Word document F|_|cks stuff up, at least in this case.

Edit #2: I know this has nothing to do with the NFL or NCAA, but I thought this was pretty funny..

http://highschool.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1001233

All I got to say about this is FAIL, but is it an epic failure?  You be the judge.

If I recall what I saw on the college football rankings right, we're never going to hear the end of it now.. at least until someone knocks them off the #1 spot.

*glances at AP Poll again*

Yep, we're not going to hear the end of it.

In other news, I sucked for this week's picks.. again.. 7-6 so far..  I guess the first week was just a fluke/ pure luck.  Then again, I kind of wanted the Bills to win, after watching some of the game.  I'm actually kind of glad they did win.  As for Baltimore, ugh.. they were so close to knocking off Minnesota.  As you can see, I picked both the Giants and Minnesota to fall this week, but only the Giants did and man did they get walloped.  I want to see the Saints and Vikings face off now.  I bet you those Vikings wouldn't stay undefeated if they to took a trip to New Orleans.  That place is a undefeated team killing field.  First the Jets then the Giants..
