I really dont think theres anything in it. Both redefined movements within their generation Elvis with teens and MJ with civil rights movement. For me MJ was the greater entertainer - watching him dance on his toes across the stage in perfect harmony with the rest of the dancers was a visual m1ndfcuk. He took what Elvis did and brought it to a whole new level, pushing MTV and making dance music more appealing. Lead singer of the first truly global all black band, first teen black idol, first to fuse rock with pop and soul successfully. The guy broke down so many barriers as an entertainer its hard to believe how inadequate he was at real life. In the words of another lost soul "I just looked around and he was gone"

| This guy was so funny xD He never ever failed to make me laugh with his black sarcastic sense of humor, easily beats Eddie Murphy in a stand up comedy. He starred in movies like Transformers, Ocean's Eleven+Twelve & Thirteen, Charlies Angels, Guess Who, Bad Santa, Friday etc. etc. You should look it up homie. | ||

No sh1t!! Percy Jones died?? I know Bernie Mac the actor but I didnt connect as I was thinking singing. What/when did he die?? No need to look him up he was a fave of mine....a dry southern wit for sure. I'm shocked and saddened. he was a scene stealer, a dominant presence who made the smallest of lines seem so pertinent and so very funny.

Ok I googled and found out for myself. Chicago man died last August - didnt even realise. I dont think his death got much coverage here in UK. My personal fave was Richard Pryor and Bernie Mac had the same uncompromising, unrepentant, "nothing is off-limits" approach to social commentary comedy that makes my sides split and my eyes water. Im still shocked moreso that I didnt even know that he passed a year ago! Wow!

Yah I didn't found out right away as well.. First time I heard it I was like "Nah stop bullsh*tting, must be a tabbloid rumor or something" But then I really found out... It's just weird cause this guy was always so full of energy, he didn't seem to be ill. He had a disease since 1983, yet he kept living on for 25 more years. Ironically at the same age as another Legend, MJ.
For some reason the great legends never get old.

its hard to deny that he didnt do this everyone who is here saying he is the greatest i guess u guys can seperate the man from the music or u beleive he is inocent this is the most retarted thread out there how many of u have been abused or know someone that was sexually molested? me personaly i know some one who was by there father it ate me alive to know this and beg me not to tell anyone to know they were arfraid to go home that guys dad died when i was a teenanger and he was lucky cause i wanted to kill him i have no sympathy towards them.  i understand he wasnt convicted but if i was ever accused of this crime and was inocent even if the best option was to pay them i would not put my self in that situation again and again unless i really did have this disease so yes he will be in hell i beleive.  alot of child mulestors come from mulestors or abusive parents so think its normal.

Yes I would agree if he was guilty. I dont mean to appear unsympathetic and im not sanctimonious when i say that youre letting your prejudice cloud your judgment. for instance - how many people have been accused of a crime in which they were innocent? We cant persecute someone for our suspicions only for their actions. The guy had pics taken of his d1ck by the cops the 2nd time and was found to be innocent. In my book you can strike the second claim out. For the first ask yourself "would any responsible parents leave their son in the charge of someone they barely knew?" or "to what purpose would they make such a decision?" Yes I have my doubts as to MJs innocence, I guess we'll never know but like I say i'm only mourning the passing of a truly talented individual- a once in a lifetime star whom I was lucky enough to see perform and grew up on his music. For the rest i didnt know the man - and part of me actually thinks thank god i didnt cos I think as a person he was a wreck in every normal aspect of his life.

I dont care what anyone says about him. I look at what good he has done for us, he freaking gave up his social life, they talked sh*t about him, they accused him, they ripped money of him and what did he do?
He kept smiling, he kept giving us good music, he kept entertaining us with all of his heart, he kept doing so many good things. In my book thats a hero a legend. Everyone might have their own opinion, but just remember that no man that is good in something and so famous, can be normal at the same time. Even Bruce Lee had his problems, Elvis had his problems, Einstein had his problems, then why make Michael Jackson as if he is different from these people? The only things he is different in is that he has done much more, and no1 has ever came close to what he has done, no1 else has been so famous as MJ was.

I'm sure that the same holds true elsewhere, but the radio stations down here have been honoring MJ & his music all weekend long.
