Need for Speed series

Well, seeing how there was talk about it in the "games you'd want to see on the PS3" thread, I thought it was weird that no one had brought it up.  Obviously, most NFS fans here don't seem to take a liking to the recent two games (and maybe Carbon to?), so unless you like them, let's forget about them and talk about the earlier games, such as the Underground series or Most Wanted.  Oh, and if you're a fan of the even older games, then feel free to talk about them to, though I'll surely be lost on anything besides the original Hot Pursuit... which I never beat or tried to beat and cheated, just to get the best car in the game, but let's forget I said that. 

(As long as I'm not cheating today, that's all that counts.  Besides, I was a kid back then..  I had a tendency to constantly cheat in either NFS3: HS, GTA3, and/ or Twisted Metal 2.)

Anyways, this is not the SilverJ cheated thread, so let's get to the true discussion and maybe, we'll get a freakin' forum first and beat those want-a-be's at Midnight Club.  (Yeah.. you heard me.. even if NFS wasn't on the streets first, this series was still on the street racing sceen first. (Well.. maybe it's just me, but I count NFS3: HS (PS1, b****es), so yeah..))

From what I saw, Gran Turismo 5 also going to have NASCAR in it..

Oh, and the game you're thinking about was Most Wanted.  I never played Carbon, but I'm pretty sure you don't do anything like that in that game and I know you don't in the Undergrounds.  Anyways, if I ever get the means or the chance, I think I'll show a few pics of my various NFS whips. (I've taped some of my game play.)

NSF - Most Wanted. That was it. I had to outrun the cops for about thirty minutes at the end of the game before the secret road opened up and I could escape accross the bridge that was out. Talk about excitement! I thought my heart was going to explode. They need to come out with something like that again!!!!

It seemed like thirty minutes, that's for sure.

OH GOD I REMEMBER THAT .. out running the cops with 5 stars!!! that was so hard, I don't think I completed that one

Need for Speed was a decent game till, the horrid movie came out "The Gay and the Curious"  then it turned into a sh*tty rip off of that sh*tty game that started the movement of 4 door grocery getters with "turbo" fart cans and a giant wing! Need of Speed is trash!

I can see your issues, though I didn't start playing NFS again (after Hot Pursuit 1) until Underground 1 hit.  Drifting is my favorite part of the Undergrounds.  Drift King!  Baby!  Btw.. my best single drift was somewhere between 210 and 250,000, in a downhill drift.  I guess it's just me, but I honestly like customizing my cars.  On the original UG, I actually took the time to trick out all the cars and then some.
