AC 3 STORY:
The story spans over a 30 year period of the years 1753 to 1783. Connor will have access to firearms, bows, throwing knives, a heavy saber, a hammer, and a large two-handed sword in addition to his previously revealed hidden blade and tomahawk. He’ll use a wire with the blade – to pull enemies on trees, rock shelves. Connor will be able to hunt in the wild, similar to a solution of Red Dead Redemption. Hunted animal will be skinned and selling their pelts for money with over 30 animals to hunt, the value of the pelts will change depending on how you kill them. Just like his predecessors, Connor can perform Leaps of Faith, this time from treetops into moving carriages of hay. ‘AnvilNext’ game engine will be capable of rendering thousand-man battles and Connor will partake in great battles throughout the game. In addition to the powerful new engine, Connor’s animation will be smoother and more natural than any previous Assassin’s Creed character. He will be able to adapt to any obstacles in the environment as he traverses through New England. In addition to the game’s night and day cycle, there will be seasonal changes and weather conditions which vary throughout the game. We’ll revisit the same areas throughout the seasons. More than just a visual effect, weather has a huge impact in the game—snow will impair mobility and wading through blizzards can be difficult. As such, Connor will have to make use of the treeline to get around during the winter. For the first time in Assassin’s Creed, NPCs will interact with each other instead of simply milling around, and the game also includes children. There will be companions, but for sure they will not create any guild or a formal group. The game will be a lot of scripted or ‘canned shares taken out straight from Hollywood productions, such as running away from the group of armed soldiers through the middle of someone’s home. In combat, opponents can also be used as a human shield and thrown into other combatants for good measure. However, despite the Mature rating, it won’t be possible to cut off their limbs or decapitate the enemies. The developers have also abandoned the possibility of scalping enemy combatants because they want the focus to be on the story, and not its violence Enemies won’t attack while waiting “in line” until your character will fight with each individually. The game runs beside Benjamin Franklin and George Washington’s Polish accent of those events – Casimir Pulaski. The size of uninhabited land in Assassin’s Creed III is 1.5 times greater than that of Rome (AC: Brotherhood). |

That was my issue with Revelations... I wanted a change of scenery.. and damnit, I wanted a horse!
I was more upset that once I lost the den defense the first time I forgot that it gets controlled again.. and it had to be the one that if you farted sideways, the captain would flee.. haaaated that! |

im glad den defense is gone to. for me it felt more like "damn do i really have to do this" id lode on purpose just so i could fight my way to getting back control.
i would agree that AC2 was prob my fav of the serous so far. i like a couple of the tweaks that they added to Brotherhood and Rev but as for the overall game AC2 was better. im def excited for the setting change tho and to get out of the city. should really change the game up a bit and i think it wil bring some people back that were getting tired of the same setting. it really didnt bother me but if they would have did AC3 in the same setting as they have been i prob wouldnt have gotten it. |

I Kind of enjoyed the den defence thing but Im not bothered about it. Hear is how it started. Once the team who did AC2 finished up with the game and released it they started straight away on AC3 so the team that did brother hood and revelations was a different team to who is doing AC2 and AC3, so I believe that AC3 will be an amazing game because I thought that the team that did AC2 did an amazing job of giving the game some real heart and emotion. I really fell in love with the series after completing AC2, I actually was abit annoyed before the game came out that they were not using Altair but to my surprise Ezio turned out to be one of my favourite video game characters ever. So lets hope the AC2 team can make another master piece and give us another amazing main role and a all time EPIC :). |

I loved the Game Informer article on AC3, but especially loved that they won't be including "Den Defense" in this game, phew!!!!

I can't wait to see how the story is going to unfold with Desmond now that they found the central vault.
