CTF Favourites?

your try'n as hard on here as you do in pubs lol i only use flak on Necro in vctf and thats because its one of the 3 weapons you automaticly have on that map. pistol, flak and link. when i pick up sniper or shock i use them as much or more as any weapon. I don't play ctf anymore so you can say COLDGAZE and Causepain are better then me and i wouldn't give a sh1t. :)

vctf is a different story though!

COLDGAZE and ckeli are still better than Syzygy when he was in his prime   :D

He's right and I only did it because you talked bad to Penguin. Not saying he needs protection lol, but it's just really stupid. ;O

as the tourney goes on, i see one big upset. let me see what the out come going to be with the lowest votes, like the highest votes?  

what are the favorites for round 2?? looks to be evenly matched to mee. gonna be some good games

For the two people that will read this, I liked reading team breakdowns so I figured I'd make my own.


Platinum
It's too bad that Seifer wasn't available last night. I wanted to see Platinum -Vs- Free Spirit before people got YLOD, and now I want to see them play having Seifer and Rican added respectively.
If Platinum wants that grudge match payback they'll need to go hard in LB and feh should try to sort out his connection. It's actually possible they will get this match, if Platinum win their matches against Super Heroes and uNrated, and Free Spirit loses to XPL((o))SIV.
Even though they got voted on second-least, they're no pushover, and Penguin sounded confident about getting past at least uNrated yesterday..

Free Spirit
Having Rican added to the roster by chance made for more interesting teams I think. I originally didn't think they'd do as well as Phantaci thought, but now they can get some serious offensive going while still holding the flag on lock. Don't expect to score on them if you can't cover your attackers, and don't think that means you can slack on defense. Can play a great all-round game. Coming up against XPL((o))SIV next round, they're going in as my favourite out of the two, but it won't be an easy game.

Darth
Having proven ThundaCa$h to be of the dark side, what are they planning next? Whatever they may be, having primarily european and rusty players isn't a good look on them as they're preparing for a second match against a tournament favourite. Then again, how many players can say they got a hat trick on qM ;o so who knows?

Destroyers
One of the tournament favourites as voted in this thread, they got upset first match. Watching the stream I got the idea that the players individually got down what they needed to, but that they might need some more teambuilding excersises before they go up against other tough teams. They seemed to get somewhat unlucky in getting shut down in two maps as on both maps there were some major chances they barely couldn't finish, and some moments where the flag carrier went into rooms that weren't safe enough for them. Perhaps that's just saying something for XPL((o))SIV being clutch though. They might be down a match, but they're not out yet. Their next match is looking in their favour as they can work their way to a rematch -Vs- XPL((o))SIV.

Super Heroes
A couple of people who don't know eachother and perhaps still don't have eachother on their lists planning to go hard from the LB. We'll have to wait and see what they can bring to the table as a team and as individual players. One thing's for sure though; they won't have an easy road. They're starting out against another team that is looking prove something, but the odds are against them.

XPL((o))SIV
The other team I don't know a lot about due to players playing when I'm in bed. I've heard some good things though and they beat a tournament favourite first round. Going up against the buffed Free Spirit they have no easy road ahead, but hopefully they will keep getting some good matches for the stream.

uNrated
After dropping down first round because they decided we wanted to go for the additional 20$ a pop prize, we're now waiting for the opponents to line up so they can knock them down. Ready to make any player look like a B-lister, we're going to bring the crowd to the streams.

Velocity
A team I can't really tell a lot about, due to not playing with their players enough. They barely got their first victory in on us and are now looking to play tournament favourites ThundaCa$h. They will have to go hard if they want to take the smiles or their faces, but I'm looking forward to seeing what exactly they will bring to the table. They've still got someone on reserve to play out and we'll hopefully get to play at full strength.

ThundaCa$h
Currently the second-favourite for the tournament, they started out strong. Their confidence is as big as it'll ever be this tournament, and let's see how this momentum will go for them. Next match against Velocity could be an interesting one I think. Their strong defense is complemented by RemY running, who can definitely score on you when Phantaci is covering. It's not that hard why this is a tournament favourite. And they haven't even played on a TX server yet.

uNrated II
One of the few teams without an A-list player. I ended up going with a team of players I felt are somewhat overlooked in CTF, and here is the chance to prove it. Probably going to do well on custom maps, looking at just who knows them. We had a close first match that ended before the custom tiebreaker, but we're ready to step up our game another notch and test the waters on the winner of Platinum -Vs- Super Heroes. We're ready to try out Penguin's confidence.


My two favourites atm are Free Spirit and ThundaCa$h. Not counting out some other teams though.

As of lately, i can get past tourmenter pretty easily, but when u have to kill some1 3 times in a single run, it drains health pretty quickly
Herbert is my problem, underrated runner, cherry picker for sure, but a great runner
