i think grendal keep is a ok map too, tho the only thing is...  its freaking big.  long runs means harder to get to bases, then if you do hard to catch up to them/find them.  Razor is really good i think it should be locked as a played map for sure.

I tried out tangled and it IS extremely buggy. I also had the black boxes on the flag. I dont know if it is play-able; the shield belt doesn't make a noise when you take it nor does the girl with the hawt voice 'blue flag taken, blue flag returned.' etc. but it does look kool, although the bugs may be critical at times :/

yo darkness you are talking to much networking jargen for some people.  its probably a NAT or PORT(like you said) problem, or his ps3s NIC is messed up as well.  if he said its just his ps3 a ping/tracert/ or pathping wont tell him anything if his pc's are runnin good,  tho he could ping his ps3 alone from his pc to see how it reacts ect.  i think it either gear or isp and last the ps3

From what I can tell it's still 2 stocks with predetermined stock map as tiebreaker. Loser's brackets captains agree on maps (including tiebreaker), and finals are best of 5 with 2 choices each + custom

i think thats the general thoughts on the map pool bum, so im sure they wont be played.  if darkness gets kargo up and running that may get added provide people like it ect.  there has been some talk about playing some stock as well but not sure what the whole word is yet for offical map pool.

I first wanna say to you that DMZ is NOT an solution for this problem LOL.
DMZ is a physical or logical subnetwork that contains and exposes an organization's external services to a larger untrusted network, usually the Internet.
The purpose of a DMZ is to add an additional layer of security to an organization's (LAN); an external attacker only has access to equipment in the DMZ, rather than any other part of the network.
 
This is absolutly 0% related to lag or connection speed failures im afraid..
It can only cause this kinda trouble when its ENABLE tho :P which in your case you are trying to do xD
 
Anyway, I had the same issue a while ago. My connection would go slow on my PS3 all of the sudden during a duel or something. I bought another router as well but the issue kept the same.
I put out a Ping command(to determine what my response time was. It was around 500ms constant. Which is WAY TO HIGH) and a Tracert command (to find out what gateways my connection passes before reaching my router) and it seemed as the follow stupid problem.
 
I have a DSL Router/Modem. Which is basically 2 Ethernet ports for internet connection. I had to buy a Switch to cut the connections, making more connections available: for PC downstairs, up in the attic, my own room, brothers room, own PS3, brothers Xbox360.
 
It seemed that the Switch was giving the problem to my connection speed. Which cut out the connection speed as it divides between different gateways. Giving me high ping on UT3 and letting my connection run slow.
 
Solution to me:
- Stuck my PS3 internet cable DIRECTLY into my DSL Modem/Router. Securing a stable connection. Using the other port for the router.
Solution for you:
- If you have a Switch or split up device somewhere in your home-network. It would be wise to check that first!
- You need to open a couple of Ports in your router manually to let some connections run smoother or even enable gameplay AT ALL online. Check Google for the ports that are linked to UT3. Open these.
 
If thats not solution, we'll find something else.

Citadel doesn't, CTF-Grendelkeep3 does.
I wasnt gonna recommend too many maps and didnt think it was that great (too open).
Userdata version that works on my server for sure is at mediafire.com/cloudy.

I'm hoping CTF-Tangled and CTF-Orestes can be fixed to work properly soon, they look good.
