The ranks were unlocked the same day I hit the max. Plus it kept up with everyones credits and they jumped up several ranks when they unlocked. I can't break away from this game to finish new vegas which I really like. I like tha fact that no matter what rank you are, everyone is on even ground in the game, there's no weapon upgrades or armor that only players who have ranked up have access too.
