You can't kill the nest but if I recall you can aim a longbow at the nest they will all jump out looking for you and self-destruct so the nest disappears faster. Of course you'll need to be out of their reach...

Deadaim make the longbow your top weapon then use your best weapon button to get out a longbow quicker. and always have boots to jump and avoid vehicles.
boots and longbows works for me.

i wouldnt mind the vehicles so much if i could move faster on foot.. the speed of quakelive has spoiled me.. pretty much viper speed and no vehicle lol
