If you're doing well in High School then you should focus on going to college and while you're in college you can join ROTC.
I've heard you can be in ROTC for your freshman year and if you decide to change your mind about joining the Army you can quit.
After your freshman year i think you sign a paper giving your "commitment" to stay in the army for 8 years after you graduate. (I think)

15 year olds can join the army?

That's why I don't watch the news, I'll read internet news sites such as the drudge report and the huffington post instead.

Paw, Fox has some of the worst news programs I've ever seen, regardless of whether you are republican or democrat. Glen Beck alone tarnishes that stations reputation, he's a flat out liar and a complete radical.

I had a good for nothing friend who was forced to join the Navy due to an agreement with the court. While in the Navy he went on safari in Kenya, smoked opium in Korea and chased hookers in Hong Kong. Yeah he had fun but when he got back he was still the same good for nothing friend. If you're going to do this you need to get the most out of it you can. don't waste those four years. You can do that at college and not get shot at.

Quit school at 16, took the GED and went for it.  Had to wait in the transit barracks until I was 17 to get picked up by the Army.  Did an "Inter-service Transfer" to the USMC and had 2 Honorabe Discharges by the Age of 20. Yep... 9th grade education.  If you're going to cut your own trail, cut it wide. THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU SHOULD QUIT SCHOOL!!!  I doubt they will take someone without a HS Diploma these days.
