I never said anything about my understanding or beliefs about evolution or any religion.  I keep those to myself because my ideas and beliefs are my own.

The argument was over the status of a theory versus a proven scientific fact and nothing more.  Which is silly.

Trendy, you're a bright guy.  You and I both know that at some point the science will be finished and the label will change.

I have read the Bible cover to cover 3 times, I know what the scripture says. I know people have different beliefs, I just feel that it is a mistake to laugh off the other side of the argument when you don't even understand their position.

@Aquaknot I suppose I misread the meaning of your posts. I interpreted them as an argument against evolution based upon its label, thus giving validity to creation. I apologize for that.

Chimpanzee share 99% of our DNA.

The Fruit fly shares ~60% of our DNA.

Genetic variation throughout the ~6.6 billion human population is thought to be less than 0.005

As long as intelligent design or creationism aren't taught in public school science, I'm happy.  What we each believe is just, as mentioned earlier, a matter of personal choice.

I believe earth was seeded by aliens on a long space journey so that they would have something to eat on the trip home. And it's almost dinner time.

this is really scary if you look deeper within the religions and truth patterns!!
From Nan-mandol to sumer!! What about Book of Enoch!? If those texts are hundreds if not thousands of yrs old, what insane imagination those guys had back then!! read Argonautica and find that out, it cant be based on purely imaginary visions!

If all humans support HMS (human mind system) Then the truth must be what we want it to be!?
Example: I told my grand mother they found something special with the keyhole sat up in the mountains in turkey... An Ark!

She responded quickly Noooo!!! that cant happen little boy!
I thaught WTF is she answering me that for. Its maybe a good solid clue/evidence of the christians.
As i got in the car my head exploded in thaughts! Oh shait, its not only christians who believe in the flood... It a common happening for ALL beliefs system!?
Anyway, if you guys do not believe in a god its cool...
In the end we were build by aliens. ( in a "god" suite)

This has been a long held suspicion of mine as well.  I can tell the end is nearing because the last 3 gum balls my kid got out of the machine were all green.  Scary times-

On the topic of diseases and natural disasters. I could make several references from biblical scripture to give a biblical explanation for such things. But it seems you are more interesting in a 'scientific'' explantion. So considering such, it would defeat the purpose of the effort given.

On the topic of String theory. While it has been a year since I read about string theory. The significance of bringing up 11 dimensions is this. The more science discovers, the more reality seems stranger than fiction. The more you learn, the more questions you have and the more you realize how much you DO NOT know about the universe.

Even if you just look at reality itself. Exclude everything man knows (scientifically) and exclude God. Naive realism makes a strong point. People feel relaxed and are comfortable to think everything in their existence will always remain consistant. But when the notion that the fabric of space and time is not as confined to soldity as we may think. Everything takes a weird twist.

While I suppose your trying to ''define'' my reasoning through 3-word-combo's. I have looked at the flip side. May be hard to believe for a Christian to do such a thing. But i've always looked at the alternative. You have alot of people who believe in God or think they do. Then when you hand them a book about evolution, or scientific explantions. Or even the ''God Delusion'' they flee in terror refuses to read such things. I say ''yea let me have a look at that''. Its can be fascinating what humans can think up. Some things make sense, others not so much. But when I lined up this information, the Word of God always seem to slip out the trump card and suprise me.

But thats it for me, I have spoken my peace on the subject.

May you find the truth you are looking for.

For me, ghost go hand in hand with 'God'.  The incredibly small small chance that we sprung life such as on earth, I believe the chances of a 'God' entity being made is a millions times smaller than the minute chance that life came to be on earth.  Then comes the effortless struggle of, yeah, God made us, but who made God?   So I'm going with a definite NO for ghosts.  And a huge NO for God!  If there happens to be a God, I'm sure hes not the creepy guy that I was told about when I was younger.

Funny things, my Grandma was the one who told me Santa didn't exist, she said it was silly for me to still be believing in that at my age.  Then when I asked her if God was real, she said absolutely, then that's when I thought it was all silly!

Not trying to be a d1ck, but what evidence do you have to support your claim that we WILL find out. There is no evidence whatsoever for the existence of a God or of life after death. My problem is that people seem to take pride in their ability to believe in something without any sort of evidence at all. How can you be proud of your own willingness to believe in anything? I just don't get it......

ghosts? if what people call ghosts exists there's no way of telling what they are. most people have probably seen and heard something they cant explain but that don't mean there is or isn't so called ghosts floating around us.

man still doesn't know very much if you consider how much there accualy is to know.

Steven Hawkins's theory on black holes was thought to be fact by the scientific community until he proved himself wrong years later.

a theory is just that..a theory. theory's are based on what scientists think are known facts. as soon as they find out one fact is wrong they haft to start all over.

ive never had a so called ghost bite me on the azz...however i have been bitten on the azz by a dog so im pretty sure dogs exist lol

Faith. Like every other religion has. The point where you have to go out on a limb.

I saw something yesterday though. On some channel, It was about the exodus. The researchers, scientists, historians, etc..wanted to uncover the truth about the exodus and red sea.

They did too, they had facts and reasons of how all that stuff could have happened. pretty cool documentary.

Yeah, but everything they used to explain it turned everything into a natural occurrence rather than a biblical miracle, which defeats the purpose of the story and God's involvement in the first place. Also, there is zero record outside the bible of Jews ever being in Egypt and no Jewish artifacts have been found along their supposed route or in Egypt. They supposedly wandered the desert for 40 years, surely they would have left something behind.

religion is all about faith Bum..ive watched a quite a few programs where they research bible story's and look for facts.

there all interesting but they usually don't prove anything to my satisfaction. it don't matter though because im not a doubter in the first place.
