I wouldn't take part in such a thing.  And to be honest, Being half puertorican and half dominican is not something I"m especially proud or ashamed of, it's just what I was born as, not like I had a choice.  Either way, regardless of whatever me or anyone else is, I simply would not get involved in nor participate in anything that contributes to Racism or it's other closely related siblings, prejudice and bias.  They're all pretty much related we're just talking a matter of degree.  Bias is just Racism-Lite, it's racism in its pupa stage.  With a dash of hate and a smidgeon of propaganda and we have the fourth reich in no time flat.

Back to how much fun irony is and how thick you lay it on, I got involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America during college 7 years ago. Except for a 1 year period when I was traveling in '05, i have been mentoring in that program to predominantly black and mixed race youth monthly for 6 years. So actually, isntead of getting called cracker, I regularly try to instill the opposite sentiment in these kids. You could say instead of getting called cracker I positively influence a kid that maybe possibly could otherwise at somepoint use that word or others like it.


I just had a thought....maybe if you have time you could start a thread in fists of fury with a ranking system of slurs. That way you could enlighten us as to which ones are alright. For instance, we know you agree that the n bomb is off limits. But f*ggot is fine even when telling someone that n*gger is not. And cracker is ok. How about the rest? We could probably all learn something from you and avoid the confusion in the future if you just threw up a nice little chart for us on the severity of slurs since some are apparently ok.

Deadaim, you stick up for the the word nig ger, but lets be honest, they were not the first race to be slaves, yes they were the most recent, but my school taught that all most all races at one point were slaves.  Sometimes, slavery was considered a good thing compared to what some of them had to go through.  Im not trying to flame you, but Black Slavery wasnt the begining and end all of slavery, oppression and execution.  Only you give words thier meaning and weight.
